The Pacman vs Marquez fight could of went anyway... So I was expecting pacquiao to get the decision...
George Foreman III (George's son) "PAC got outsmarted. It was a tactical victory 4 Marquez but PAC was the aggressor. I think it should've been called a draw."
outclassed, outsmarted and outpointed.. that's the basis ang true essence of boxing.. boxing officials should be fair and put the standard regarless of who's fighting in the ring. dili nang pabor2 lang asa ang mas dako og money.
watch the replay w/o audio and in slow motion to see kng knsa ang ndaug.
Do you even know what outpointed means? Pacquiao had more punches over Marquez 176-138. Outsmarted? Because he chose not to take too much of Marquez's bait to attack and be counter-punched too much--that's defensive responsibility, that shows maturity (though Pacquiao's performance is not as impressive as his previous fights). And OUTCLASSED? Was it Manny who left the ring accusing the game of being fixed while flipping the crowd off? Delusion naman na bai oi.
I scored it 7-5 in favor of Manny. 115-113.
Numerically na outpointed jud si Marquez by the manipulated Compubox, we saw what happened, those elite boxers knew the real score of the bout.
We already know the magnitude of Pacman's desire to knockdown Marquez by claiming he beat Pacman twice few months ago. Na irrate na si Pacman, that was his strong motivation and by that he tried to get inside for a furious attack but unfortunately he failed to do so coz Marquez is too smart for him.
Don't take it literally, outclassed during the fight is what i meant.
puro naman na conspiracy and speculations bai oi. You're saying what the judges see somehow coincidentally followed the Compubox stats, you wanna see robbed? look up the Paul Williams vs. Erislandy Lara fight, that's a definite robbery--and it was proven by COMPUBOX, so saying it is rigged is a speculation since a lot of fighters and officiating personnel have acknowledged its credibility. Again let me reiterate, those boxers were not scoring the fight as they watched. Kasabot man kaha kag boxing bai? then make the distinction that they are paid to box and not to oversee and evaluate fights. I'm not saying they don't know anything about the score, its just that it's not their specialty, it's their opinions--expert or not.
Pacquiao wasn't at all very provoked by JMM's calling him out, you can tell because it was a different Pacquiao in there than before. Whether that is a good thing or bad thing is of subject. Marquez is known for his counter-punching, Pacquiao and his corner would be dumb if they didn't take that into account--I'd call that defensive responsibility, not frustration. If you know you're opponent is going to counter-punch (and is quite an effective counter-puncher) if you advance too much, are you going to press even harder? They're both cautious and respected each others prowess, but it was still Pacquiao who brought aggression to the ring, by pressing ENOUGH. In such a close fight like this, you have to score on who's initiating and pressing. That point also, disregarding that a challenger should be the one to show more or equal aggression to his opponent. Marquez could've won in his own fashion (counter-punching), without pressing Pacquiao, if he made it very apparent that Pacquiao was taking the brunt of the damage (possibly a knockdown). That's the thing with counter-punchers, with their style they really have to either (1)knockout their opponent, (2) score marginally higher, or land marginally higher, or (3) Make the damages very apparent by beating their opponent to a pulp if it goes the distance. Aggression isn't always the deciding factor, but in this fight, it was.
