@ Ian C: Two years ago, a knife was pointed at my side while i was riding a jeepney in broad daylight. Imagine my tremor. I wanted to kick the robbers' faces the moment they were caught a few hours after, but never did i want them dead on the spot. i still wanted a trial for them, even if they were indeed capable of killing me at that time. People do not need to be placed in a life and death situation so that they would see the real situation. We just have to be levelheaded and examine the matter closely, not act on fury or rage juz because we think these people deserve such death.

Gunmen flee after killing 4 suspects

* All 4 attacks were unprovoked and came a day after another robbery suspect was shot and killed in front of his family’s eatery
* Allan delos Santos and Epifanio Olestrisimo, both 30, were shot in their sleep in Barangay Carreta
* Taxi dispatcher Hector Montilla, 28, was sitting in the pier area when an unidentified man drove up to him on a bike, and fired away
* Noel Arda, 38, was carrying a 2-year-old niece when an unidentified man shot him several times; the girl got dropped, but was otherwise unscathed

IF INDEED the hunter team is not yet fully organized as police claim, then another team is going after robbery suspects one by one.
A day after Jimmy Duarte was shot in front of his family’s eatery in Pier 3, four more men were shot separately from Thursday night to Friday morning.
Allan delos Santos and Epifanio Olestrisimo, both 30, were shot in their sleep in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City, while unidentified persons walked up to Hector Montilla, 28 and Noel Arda, 38, and shot them dead.
Acting Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Director Melvin Gayotin reiterated his earlier statements that killing robbers was not their job.
“Ang among trabaho kay arestohon, dili patyon,” he said.
Interviewed by television news crews, relatives of those who were shot believe the police were behind the killings.
Since Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s “hunter team” is not operating yet, a city councilor suspects the five suspected robbers’ attackers were robbery victims.

I just have to stress that i do not think these people are the biggest fishes in the sea. These are people who could just be killed easily. These summary killings are SO PRONE TO ABUSE! If they indeed still cause discord in the community or still do heinous crimes then it is the job of the police to gather evidence and put them in the can. What the hell are we paying them for if they cant do their jobs I consider this vigilante thing to be an INSULT to their profession. If indeed this group is killing all criminals, then it means dakong inutil ang pulisya and the judicial system. While it is individual choice to live such lives (and indeed we cant control em), it is the job of the legislative and judicial system to lessen the chances of these crimes occurring.
By the way, I do not pity heartless criminals like what you think (and i dunno where u got that idea). I am ok with punishment juz as long as it's in accordance with the law. Also, why cant i have a say on poverty, huh? As Sun.Star's editorial said, "The statistics prove that socioeconomic factors, not just psychological disturbances, cause crimes." We do not want to hear about poverty as a cause of crime because we are so fed up with it yet we fail to do something about it.
Mao lagi na akong binalik balik ug sulti na if they can say sige gihapon himo ug dautan ning mga criminals nila, naa gyd sila'y evidence ani, diba? nanu nakasulti man sila, so naa gyd. naa'y mka testify and all. ngano dili man gyd ni makasuhan? kay hasol man. lisod man....
kung mao ni storyaha, palihug apila nalang ang mga pulitiko. they're the biggest criminals to have ever walked the land.
all i can say is tinapulan gyd ni nga paagi, if dili man dakong binuang. Do you think nga wala'y madamay nga innocent lives ani ilang ginabuhat? do you think stray bullets choose their victims? This is just a minute manifestation of a deeply rooted problem, a pathetic attempt of desperate people to justify another wrong.

we can also say.. na kanang NAGPA UYON UYON DIHA MAY TA UG ANG USA SA IYONG MIYEMBRO SA PAMILYA NA-APIL SA LISTA SA MGA TIRAHONON ANING GITAWAG NILA UG DEATH SQUAD para makafeel sad ta kung unsa kasakit para nila na makita ilang mahal sa kinabuhi na basta basta nalang ug patyon na mura ug baboy, may lang unta ug consistent ni sila na walay inosenteng kinabuhi na makalas aning ilang pangbuhaton..

in my own personal opinion, i'm not really against killing those merciless culprits, and even though i'm a firm believer of God and i have served the church for almost half of my life, it never weaken my stance at supporting move for death sentence.. irregarless if it's in a form of "lethal injection or elecrtic chair" that is in due process of law.. the thing that we have to take into consideration is... WOULD THIS KILLING SPREE SOLVE PROBLEMS ON CRIMINALITY? WHAT COULD BE THE POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS WITH OSMENA'S MOVE? MORE IMPORTANTLY, WILL THESE PEOPLE BE VERY VIGILANT SO AS TO IMPLEMENT WHAT THEY THINK IS RIGHT NO MATTER WHO WILL BE SUBJECTED TO IT?
