go for the nikon d3100. looks and feel nimo sa camera pang photography. unlike sa mirror less variants w/o view finder nga mura rakag nag gamit og point and shoot cam.

Your output barely makes a difference on what camera you used to take that shot. Camera shake? Simple solution don't shoot in the dark

I'm leaning more towards the NEX ky dli bulky dad-on. IQ is respectable, it gets the job done on what you mostly wanted to do My take if you're going SLR buy the pro-sumer/midlevel range skip the entry level.

owning NEX-c3 now,ako gibaligya ako nikon D3K... and planning to go back to nikon... hahaha buck up nlng nya ni ang c3

oki rmn ang grip sa c3 but mas nindot ang sa 5n...and dli pd cya bulky

gimingaw lng jud ko sa viewfinder... and daghan mga lens na available...

f ka afford kag bodies higher than d3100 go for it nlng...

My possible issue with the c3 is camera shake since ang iya grip is not that stable. Maayo pa mu compensate ang c3 for handheld shooting?

Wala ra man na problema ang camera shake if you know the techniques.

Technique # 1
Make sure your shutter speed is greater than the reciprocal of your
focal length used. So for example, if imong focal length kay 50mm,
make sure imong shutter speedi is more or less greater than 1/50s.

Technique # 2
Hold your breath when you take a picture.

Technique # 3
Boost your ISO. Much better to get grainy pictures compared
to blurred ones. (Well, except if 'artistic blur' imong gusto.)

^^add lng ko sa technique #2: hold your breath, i suggest also taking a shot after exhaling kay ako nabantayan lesser ang kurog.. hehehe

@TS: para sa ako bro kay go with d3100. mas-flexible man gud when it comes to lenses and other gear. and the 18-55 kit lens is more than capable for someone who wants to start with photography as a hobby and it is relatively small for a DSLR nah. having a viewfinder also is a plus kay mas-nindot i-compose and focus ug shots through it. and the d3100 takes videos at 1080p HD nah with auto focus servo even when taking videos as compared to the 720p video lng sa NEX-C3.

anyways. mao lng toh. whichever one you pic is nice kay nindot man sad jud ug shots ang nex. its up to which one would you like lng na. hehehe

Bro D3100 kay handy ug nindot gamiton base sa ako experience mao na ako DSLR karon recommended by my friend nga Photographer for Newbie like me..

Nikon D3100 vs Sony C3

ang biggest drawback is the available lens 169 lenses vs 8 lenses. but who cares? i want compact lenses pud. ang smallest lens sa dslr is the 35 or 55mm prime lense, bulky gihapon.

pwede kaayu ni pang hobby uy! if you force me to choose only 1, dslr na lang because it can do it all.
but i also want compact! even lenses - compact gyud! think of it as a premium digicam.
small size + dslr image quality = win! later na lang ang dslr.

nex mas nindot. better yet get an olympus pen series hehe why? its better in everyday photography, better in street photography, better sa travels. ang olympus naa pud built in IS so even if gamit ka lain lens naa ghapon IS unlike sa nex series. daghan pud cheap m42 mount lens available
