    Default Bored Photographer at Moalboal

    With no TV/cable, radio, internet and no singing skills whatsoever, I just decided to practice photography in a beach resort somewhere in Moalboal, a 1.75 - 2 hour destination south of Cebu City.

    2 What a snob!

    3 This dog was too old to play but he was still able to wag his tail at me.

    4 I didn't know wood had souls

    5 Lonely

    6 Refreshing

    7 Pipe dream

    8 Hearth

    9 I'm no good with wide angle photography so this is probably mediocre by comparison to the ones taken by the wonderful folks who excel at it

    Salamat sa mga nag-like (hugs, er, manly hugs)

    @elpropresor, randymunz: Thank you. That's my favorite too

    @rudjard: Well, that's what framing is all about - to decide what to include and what to exclude (either in-camera or via cropping)

    LOL about the pointers. I believe a better alternative would be to forget about TV, the internet, iPod, PSP, Angry Birds and just be with your camera. I've only recently returned to photography after a long hiatus - I have other hobbies man gyud - Gundam plastic model kits ug Warhammer 40K painting. I'm giving up the latter after I paint my last kit so I'll have more time for photography again. Plus the darn things are so expensive. Dili mag-sale online or even Neutral Grounds dili pareha Gundam na pirmi naa sale

    I'd like to shoot more again and try other experiments. Ganahan ko sunod deliberate blurring of the photos pero still recognizable. I just want to prove that sharpness isn't everything. It's nice to have a sharp lens pero I realized that these lenses the real world unrealistically. Mao pud reason di nako mag post-process kaayo. I just crop, correct white balance and exposure if needed, remove noise, and subtly sharpen. I do still use Photoshop if I want to make artsy photos like kato ako Making the Unremarkable Remarkable.

    Sige mga bai ug sis(?), hopefully I do get to meet some of you in person. Si Teemoy na meet na nako and maybe the rest too but I'm awful with names

    Thanks for dropping by.

    @wildfuzz: I'm only using the el-cheap 50mm 1.8 I have no other AF lens.

    @vanix09: Wala na bai. Ako na baligya kay di na dyud makaya ako eyesight. Ang Jupiter-9 85mm f/2 na lang nabilin. I'm hoping mahalin na before mi muadto Manila. I ordered a Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 from Aperture Trading gahapon though. It will be delivered on Tuesday (I hope but I doubt it would arrive as they're using AP Cargo). I wanted to buy the Canon 24-70 2.8L but I just can't justify buying it because I don't earn money from photography.
