Don't worry too much about math subjects kai usually daugon rana sa attendance nimo. Basta tan.aw lang sa imo teacher nga naningkamot ka and dili ka tig absent. As what most seafarers say, lisod ang pag skwela pero sayon ra ig sakay na nimo coz your experience will teach you how to do your job better. Samot na karon na high tech na ang mga instruments sa barko. Of course, you have to be vigilant when you are on duty coz a single mistake may cost the lives of your coleagues. In short, dili mag danghag.

Just be aware though nga lisod ang apprenticeship na stage coz you have to be physically tough para makaya nimo ang trabaho. But of course, after your one year apprenticeship, i think pwede naka take ug exam for deck officers.

Grabeh ang sweldo sa seaman especially if Master na imo rank or Chief Engineer. My wife's uncle is a ship captain and he is getting not less than 8000USD a month on a 3-3 contract. Which means 3 mos siya onboard, bakasyon daun ug 3 mos WITH PAY then sakay na pud balik for 3 mos.

I was a member of Project Alpha before first batch! Ni quit ko I realized its not for me. Karon mga officials na akong ka batch.. but I have no regret sa akong decision.

Depende rajud na sa imong goal. Lisud kaayo ang life sa seaman, mo kaon kag imong suka, layo kaayo sa pamilya and pirmi lang sa lawd. Pero dako jud ug reward... If kaya na nimo go for it.

Studies, work onboard,applying for a job ,,,,I know kayang kaya - BUT ang kamingaw, ka laay ug sariling sikap, not all can adjust to it....If one is goal oriented then go for this profession since the return of investment is fast If one is smart enough. PTC 8th floor office Shell and GBLT principals are offering 12K for Masters the rest of the crews are big too.

Nindot ang course and its makes your family proud. Dghn lang temptations when your away and esp when you have a family already. Like prostitutes coming up sa mga barko when these are married men(bsg naay needs pa na) and magpadala pa jud then pakasalon mga prosti which causes to have another family that destroys your own family.
