pagbasa nako ani na thread, naka realize man ko na walay best call center karon diay. kay worst man tanan akong mabasahan. ehehe
Walay Thread Best Callcenter at the moment?
I Highly agree...
All Call Centers has its pros and cons...
Naa pud mga call centers na nindot... Good pay... Good benefits... but people in it kay mga bulok...
Politics kaayo... Bisag di maayo and daghan saup... Naa sa better position and ang sakto na tao himuon nila saup...
there is no such thing as a worst call center, kasi tanan na worst.. base it sa salary difference. if you look at it this way, your u.s. agent counter part does the easy job of routing customers to the pinoy agent, but he is earning around $12.45/hr or $2,988/month, if he works as fulltime. this figure is from my cousin who is a management staff at a bpo firm based in tucson, az. while these agents who keeps on shouting that their center is the best, earns an amount average to $213/one pay cycle or $427/month (PHP18,400 based on $1=PHP43.00 exchange rate. then tanan nga work sa pinoy agent. but dig this, my cousin's bpo also has clients in singapore where they pay an average $1,767/month in salary for a tsr.
if your center is the best and it is global, why on earth are you not earning even close to say, 75% of your asian neighbor?
let's do away with global standards. what about a cebu-based agent not earning the same sa manila-based call center agent? i've questioned this over and again. i keep getting the same answer. cost of living daw. the same po ang price ng regular yum ng it park cebu sa regular yum ng jollibee sa makati square. PHP3,000 po ang average na price ng arang-arang na rental room sa cebu at manila.. sa tax siguro may difference. but again, we are in one country and governed by one government.
im no longer a call center agent for im working in a different field and my salary is what it's supposed to be.
whatever center you're in, pagtigum bisan ginagmay, basta kanunay. pardon my bisaya. hehe..
i think the worst call centers are those who are not well-established.
why? a u.s. firm based in singapore is also outsource di ba? why are they paying more than what our people are getting? then sa rate sa rent? di na tayo mag-base dyan kasi when these companies established their business, wala sila paki-alam sa rent ng employees nila, and they eventually assume na you have your own house. external na yan sa company. and i dont think that these bpo's pay too much attention sa prices ng rental as they only give some amount sa allowance like laundry, etc. and do hr care if your renting or not? they'll just give you same salary kahit pa own mo bahay o hindi, wala ka makukuha subsidy of some sort.
i know na dili pirmi kaon tao sa jollibee, im just comparing rates, and its not limited to jolibee alone. prices of rice, sardines, any other canned goods are the same, if they differ, it's just for a few cents that you may not care about. and naa pud daghan lami carinderia sa manila priced the same in cebu. sa transpo, almost the same lang, yung distance lang ang difference depende asa ka puyo. and some agents in cebu, like some friends of mine, are staying in lapu-lapu where they pay PHP26 one-way.
i didnt post this to mock people in the call center industry, its global, why the salary is local? why in singapore that they can provide almost 60% of what a u.s. agent gets? kasi daw mahal rent? nope, again, a singaporean who own a house working in a callcenter there gets the same rate as a pinoy who needs to rent.
the perception of filipinos that labor here is cheap have to change. a callcenter agent have to earn around $1,200 to get ahead of life. not just working to survive. prices of gasolines and prime commodities are going up and call center salary have stayed at a rate average to $400 for the past 5 yea
