if you have centipedes, please share your experience.
i was reading some care sheets in the net and not everything is there. hmm
nice unta if you can share coz i was planning to get one but i don't know the dos and don'ts when taking care of one.

i kept a vietnamese giant before... I treat it like any invert... no touch just look.. I kept it i an critter keeper. in misted peat...

ive been keeping Scolopendra subspineps since High school..i do handle the juvies but i handle mature scolopendara once in a blue moon... skittish mn gud cla, then mangeta jud na clag ka tago-an...so 50-50 imo safety..

sa akong migo...bro, adto sa Ehow.com pangeta ug care sheet sa centipede, there's a guy who has videos on how to care for pedes...

similar to ts ra bro, ang ts if anaron jud nimo ug handle since 2 inch or unsa dha mao rapod ang centipede...subspineps is not local, kay it can be found south east asia man...ang scolopendra subspineps daghan au ug name...

- vietnamese centipede
- malaysian centipede
- asian forest centipede
- red haed chinese cenipede
- asian giant centipede (though its not really the biggest) kay ang scolopendra gigantea mn ang pna ka dako sa scolopendra specie..

mao ng mag libog ta when searching using its common name kay dagha au...pero ang original jud nga name ana is vietnamese centipede...

as ive encountered, tanan skittish jud unless anad na nimo ug handle since gamay pa..

naa koy link sa video, iya gi handle iyang Scolopendra gigantea/ peruvian giant (largest specie among scolopendra) sa pet expo, wala na diri nga specie...

we all know sakit jud ang centipede bite..haha!

1st step::
wash the affected area with soap and water to disinfect and clean any germs present and apply any anti septic to the area affected...

2nd step::
apply ice on the affected part to ease the pain...

3rd step::
apply hydrocortisone cream so that there would be no itching and swelling ..(which is not present here in the philippined..) i have to check any pharmacy that carry this type of cream...

antibiotics is not prescribed, monitor the area for secondary infection, if signs of secondary infection occur go to the hospital...
