No sounds on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Hello!

I am here to ask your help. I am worried I don't have sounds on my newly installed win7. I had winxp as my OS before. But, i have decided to upgrade it. Now,here it comes. It has been running on Win7 but no sounds at all. I already check the Playback devices, and I could see that the volume indicator is working(up and down). My motherboard is Asus P5VD2-MX SE. I already run Windows updates. What seems to be the problem? Can somebody help me? If you have links for drivers, please post. I guess the problem is with the sound card, I believe mine is built-in (not sure)...I badly needed the audio for my work and other projects. Please,help me..

Any response will surely be appreciated.

*I am not really good when it comes to troubleshooting complicated PC problems.

bro,i have been experience same prob.,bro imo giinstall is 64bit,try ug 32 bit bro..same lng na sa ako ako giinstall is 64bit unya wala pod sound..try na bro ug 32 bit lng.

^^^ 64 bit or 32 bit does not matter. how about when you plug in headset? asa nimu gi plug? sa luyo or sa atubangan?

i don't think this is the problem. what i am thinking is the sound card or audio driver itself..

mao jud na ang prob ana bro..ky same ta ug mobo na model ako gtry ug install 64bit then complete driver intalled pro wala japon ko sounds but gtry nko ug 32 bit bsan ug wala pko nag install ug driver sa audio naa nko sounds..but bsan unsa amo opinion in the end kaw ra japon ang masunod..hehehehe

bro,i tried running 32bit.. kay naka.realized ko pag.update advisory for win7..akong system requirements is good for 32-bit lang..so karon, nag32bit ko..pero wa ghapon sounds.. unsaon kaha ni nako.. tsk tsk..

...problem solved after installing an update for Windows 7 (KB974332) I have got my sound back.

I hope this helps others, because I have seen lots of problems regarding Windows 7 in combination with Soundmax audiodrivers.

bro mao btaw na pasabot nko nmu na not all system kaya mo supprt sa 64bit,but anyways atleast na try pod nmu vah..hehehe..ang prob ana bro ky wala nana sa asus site ang kana na model pra mo download ug driver,but naa ka lain way ana,gamit lng ug UNKNOWN DEVICE IDENTIFIER,imo na install tapos mo run na cya,mo identify na cya kung unsa na model sa imo audio pra mao na imo idownload sa google..copy paste lng ky taas kau na ang model..medyo hasol na gamay ky wala nman gud na sa site sa asus..hehehehe..
