    Default tax-free time deposit

    Hi Guys,

Unsay banks nga tax-free ang time deposit? I read sa Chinabank website nga naa sila "Tax-Free Five-year Time Deposit". Dugay lng jud kaau.

Link: China Banking Corporation [ChinaBank] - China Bank launches Tax-Free Five-year Time Deposit

    Tax-Free Five-year Time Deposit:
A five-year-and-one-day time deposit product that offers high interest rates from 4.00%* p.a. for a minimum P50,000 to as high as 4.75%* p.a. for P1 million and above - tiered rates apply for other deposit amounts, substantially higher than other regular savings and time deposit accounts. Best of all, interest earned is tax-free (free from witholding tax if held to maturity) and paid out quarterly. Much more, document stamp taxes are paid by the bank.

Basin naay shorter like 3 years ka ha. Hope you can share.

Some may suggest mutual funds and other form of investments. I'm also interested with that but time deposit is another option for me where I can keep my money even with little interest.

Tanan deposit na 5 yrs ang term ng time deposit tax is free,,if 3 yrs subject pa na sa withholding tax..
If ganahan mo short term ra, try to ask for 1yr-time deposit but gamay ra interest subject pa sa 20% withholding tax..

Inflation rates. Nindot ni nga chart Sir kay makit.an nimu ang Historical data sa inflation rates sa Philippines. I try ug 10 year period, then compute for average inflation rate return. Hehehe! naa jud na mu around 7% ang average inflation. Fluctuating pud gud ng inflation rates. Hehehe! It is good to invest in fluctuating vehicles, than investing in fixed return assets(Like TD).
