    hi iSTORYA.NET members. here is a thread to provide an overview of the top call centers in cebu. please feel free to post comments, corrections (since information here may be outdated or incorrect), questions, updates and concerns (plus updates on what was done about it) about any call center and it will be reflected on this page. pay is based on entry level or no call center experience. account names are just hints. race/culture/trivia may be noted not for discriminatory purposes but only to provide readers with available information on what may be expected in joining the company.     • strategy - known for good account/client management; pushes back on unreasonable client demands; gaining employees with higher pay offer

    • entry level pay - medium range (p13k+); look for financial account support for higher pay; referral incentive P1k in gift check upon hiring + P2k after training

    • annual increase - low annual increase of P500 or less for a 3.0 rating (passing or meets standards)
    • trivia - feedback on asian indian managers decreasing total compensation packages (account allowance and premium removed; incentives decreased); recently acquired by malaysians

    • entry level pay - ?; PHP & ASP.net Developers; Bloggers; Marketing Consultants; Content Writers; Customer Service/Product Consultants; Sales Consultants; Quality Analysts; Team Managers; HR Associates; Part-Time Recruitment Consultants
    • accounts/clients/programs - ?
    • feedback on better food services for employees and unique team building activity (shooting range)


    Convergys (CVG) - tgu tower, asiatown it park; banawa guadalupe
    • entry level pay - high range (P16k+ + allowance + experience premium); go for sprint (greywolf 10-30-2011); avoid tier 2 account where in the CSRs do a tech work and only get basic pay (greenman 11-06-2011); avoid AT&T ISP which is one of the difficult demanding accounts/clients (very high, unrealistic and uncontrollable Customer Satisfaction standards); nurses should try the wellness account for p30k+ (CocoCrunch said it is way below p30k) ;the amazona account is nice but has low pay; most trainers are strict with the english only policy (greywolf)
    • other pay - referral bonus is p5k for agents and p10k for tls (greywolf); someone said it was p5k upon hiring + p5k upon confirmation as regular; retirement pay available after 5 years; ANNUAL PAY is confirmed as of 2013

    • feedback - unreliable recruitment (says you made it through the interviews but later says you are not qualified - ad_dur)


    Intellmed - 3F Mango Square
    • entry level pay - low range 12k+ but can pay higher for customer service work experience (relevance to account not necessary)
    • accounts/clients/programs - US-based Med/Pharmacy Software
    • trivia - asian indian higher management
    • WARNING: There may be times when the company may implement locally unacceptable management measures due to the US-orientation of global managers (i.e., making all regular employees re-take the IQ exam and almost terminated those who got lower than the new required IQ score...)


    J P Morgan - ebloc (near loft), asiatown it park
    • entry level pay - high range (P16k+); p25k sign-up bonus
    • accounts/clients/programs - cheese card and auto finance
    • feedback on good recruitment practices


    Lexmark - across Marriot Hotel, Ayala
    • entry level pay - high range (P16k+)
    • accounts/clients/programs
    • feedback on training abroad and great medical insurance benefit


    NCR - ebloc (near loft), asiatown it park
    • entry level pay - ?

    Qualfon - skyrise 3, asiatown it park
    • entry level pay - low range P11.5k+; low stress
    • management - not appreciated for a long time
    • trivia - backlog on exit interviews (schedules only 40/week); check your pay and payslip because there may be some missing money


    Savvysherpa - tgu tower, asiatown it park
    • entry level pay - ?
    • accounts/clients/programs - IT/software development
    • process - feedback on improved recruitment; call within 2-3 weeks


    Stream (e-Telecare) - i1, asiatown it park
    • entry level pay - middle range (P13.5k); experience premium - 1 year call center experience may be given level 2 rates (P18k+) (gunsky 11/6/2011); 6-8 months p30k training bond; intuition account has low pay
    • accounts/clients/programs - telecoms (gunsky 11/6/2011), gamebox, deli computer, serious internet radio, kodakan isp
    • management - feedback on high responsibility without pay increase/incentive (promotion/pay increase papers delay); courteous & helpful security staff
    • process - feedback on poor recruitment practices; 3-4 month last pay processing


    Sykes (includes ICT)
    • entry level pay range - middle range (P13k+); avoid AT&T ISP which is one of the difficult demanding accounts/clients (very high, unrealistic and uncontrollable Customer Satisfaction standards or TACR!FT); if you live far, maybe it will be better to choose Comp1; choose Comp3 if you live nearby (ask HR to compute the difference so you can compare before you decide; comp 3 looks big because they show computations based on nearby residence for lower transpo allowance which will show comp3 to be higher)
    • other pay - P2k referral bonus (p1k upon hiring + p1k upon confirmation as regular)
    • accounts/clients/programs - DSL, mobile phone, smartphone, financial (mutual funds), sales coordination, health insurance, anti-virus, non-Life insurance, cable internet
    • 10 minutes tardiness limit per month
    • annual increase - excellent rating for annual increase is not reachable; low annual merit increase of P500 or less for a 3.0 rating (passing or meets standards); WARNING - "NO ANNUAL SALARY INCREASE for 2012 performance"
    • management - struggling with a demanding account/client; client may control the operations policies; sleeping quarters inadequate and without clean beddings; hallway stink on the 2nd & 3rd floors; building cracks and wet carpets during strong rain; losing good employees to other centers with higher pay; WARNING - Heard that management resorted to IMPOSE RD-OT; WARNING - TLs EXTEND ABOUT 2-4 HOURS DAILY to keep up with the required tasks (without pay); WARNING - An Account closed
    • business trend - stocks recovering after a sharp decline associated with the ICT acquisition
    • strategy - some improvement programs are not well planned nor implemented; may close local operations to transfer services to manila (mobile phone, camera); redundancy program may be based on high salary (first in, first out) and not performance; WARNING - (Possible misinformation from Management) Higher management announced that there will be NO ANNUAL SALARY INCREASE for 2012 performance since even CONVERG?S is practicing and also because of the bad economic trend in the US (this is untrue because CONVERG?S agents confirmed that they have an ongoing annual salary increase. if it is blamed on the bad economy, why was CONVERG?S able to afford providing an annual increase?)
    • process - known for promotion papers/pay increase processing delay with immediate assumption of responsibilities
    • trivia - promotion may not be a matter of how good you are but who you know (directors/managers have promoted and hired near relatives; some near relatives were given different tasks to avoid bad performance ratings)
    • trivia - WARNING: HR may not be a people champion. Be careful of what you say to them because it may be used against you
    • trivia - stool exam removed from annual physical exam (cost-cutting? hopefully no one gets parasites...)


    Teleperformance
    • entry level pay range - high range (P16k = p14k + P2k allowance for 172 hours monthly); p80/hour + performance incentives; no transpo allowance
    • accounts/clients/programs - cable internet
    • strategy - 6 months training bond (2 months on training & 4 month at work)


    Teletech
    • entry level pay range - middle range (p13k+)
    • accounts/clients/programs -
    • client/account pull-out due to low performance (may also be due to unreasonable client standards -
      AT&T ISP)


    VCustomer - 2f jesa bldg (front of national bookstore), mango avenue
    • entry level pay range - high range (p12k + allowance = P16k); p300/training day for 3 weeks; work is contractual; low pressure; easy training; no fixed weekly rest day
    • accounts/clients/programs -
    • process - having only 1-2 HR recruitment staff prolongs the process
    • management - sleeping quarters available


    Wipro
    • entry level pay range - middle range (p13k+)
    • accounts/clients/programs - no airline account (hash); pharmaceutical
    • strategy - known for good account/client management; can reject an unreasonable client
    • trivia - asian indian higher management

    going by the standards you set.. i'll contribute a little for xlibris..

    i agree. mao jud na ako impression when i found out kinsa ang TS. nicomment nako sa una niyang thread about ani. misleading jud ni.lols imbis ang company ang hisgutan ang imo na unyang sources and credibility. awa nya kung mabasahan ni sa employees.

    wipro pa lang daan good client/account management daw.lols oi

    TS nana tawn silay kaugalingon na threads per cc oi. mas maayo didto kay maexplain nila kung unsay nakapa negative or unsay benefits sa company kaysa moana ra ka na good client churva2x. accenture pud nimo oh. unsa nang 13k? daghan man position didto and ang compensation sa ubang companies magdepende sa experience and skills acquired nimo.
