i think this will have a different story because the character designs are different from the original (maybe huke upgraded them...XD)
when i look at BRS's design the Rock Cannon is more badass looking, her jacket now have white lines and she have 2 belts, the white belt is very similar to the new design of BRS huke releases named BRSB (Black Rock Shooter Beast)...i think this will be her upgade form in the anime (can't wait to see her in action...XD).

also DM have eyeglasses? at first i really thought its BDG (Black Demon Girl)...XD

The glasses made me think it’s Black Devil Girl, too. But after taking a good look, it’s definitely Dead Master with rectangular glasses. And I agree with senpai; the glasses tones down the somewhat dark and sinister aura Dead Master/ Yomi has.

The yellow-haired girl reminds me of SZZU (one of the apostles from the BRS game), most notably from the distinct design of her crown/headgear. Although there are some differences:
- the large shield(?). SZZU appeared for a relatively short time in the game, but I don’t recall her having a shield.
- they both have swords, but SZZU’s sword has a yellow blade.
- SZZU has a ponytail and wears glasses.
- SZZU’s outfit looks like an armor. The outfit of the girl on the poster is more like a dress, kinda similar to Saber’s outfit (F/SN).
- SZZU rides on the back of a masochistic man who looks like a golem.

If this yellow-haired girl is really SZZU, the TV series may turn out to be a combination of the game's story and the OVA's story. Because in the scene where BRS called/spoke to Mato, it's as if BRS already has her own personality.

If the TV series will have a new/different story from the OVA, it’ll make me a sad panda.

I know most BRS fans are huge fans of huke’s character designs, and they’re into collecting BRS figmas/merchandise. They’re probably interested in seeing more of the BRS universe and more action. The school girl setting might have disappointed them. But personally, I find the OVA good. Despite the strong focus on the drama between Mato and Yomi and less content for the alternate BRS universe, I still think the OVA stays true to the emotion portrayed in the BRS song and the original music video. I think It’s a sweet story that fits with the song.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but there’s something in this new design that seems a little off. There seems to be too much ‘details’ on this new design. I kinda prefer huke’s earlier character designs which are simple yet badass.

Also, BRS now reminds me of Megaman.

I’ve played with the recently released BRS game. Haven’t completed it yet but I’m only a few stages away from completing it (on the last apostle stage before WRS).

And I think the game was… just… plain… meh.

ASCII.jp journalist Atsushi Matsumoto reported from the Good Smile & Karaoke no Tetsujin Cafe project press conference on Thursday that Ultra Super Pictures is being established as the joint holding company for the anime studios Sanzigen, Ordet, and Trigger. The software studio Nitroplus and the artist site Pixiv are taking part in the holding company, and the holding company also received foreign equity investment. Ordet founder Yutaka Yamamoto (Fractale, Kannagi) is serving as a director of the holding company.

Huke's characters have always been in their 'preteen' stage, but the character design in this video is a bit different... it's even more lolified. BRS world feels different, too. New PV has vibrant colors and 'curvy' lines, while the OVA was dark and had more 'edgy' lines.

I'm getting madoka vibes :/
