    condition: Not Running, since 2008

This car was just sitting in our garage since 2008. 3 years without running, I have saved enough money to restore the car, the reason i made this thread is not to "pahambug or advertise" but to gather comments and ideas,

Since i have no experience in car restoration I would like to ask your tips. i will be keeping this thread updated as the work on the car progresses, \\

Cause of Damage: Car accident, rear ended a taxi cab way back 2008.

    Day 1 :10-20-2011

:23k para ma motivate ang shop nga e 1st priority

Deadline for delivery is November 5 2011
Early delivery bonus of 2k if done by October 28

    -Hood (inside and outside) -4500
    -Front Right Fender -2500
    -Roof Panel -3500
    -Rear Baggage Cover Panel -2500

    additional cost:

1:Brand new fuel pump , had to be ordered from manila (8000.00php)
    1:emission testing(450,00php)
1:LTO registration plus 3 years of penalty (12,000php)

FOR ENGINE WORKS (A total of 20,000php)
    6-spark plugs
    1-fine tune the engine
    1-calibrate the injectors
    1-replaced the fan belts

1-8 liters of oil and oil cell plus oil filter

    FOR RADIATOR and AIRCON (6500)
    1-refabricate multiple rubbes hoses
    1- inspection of compressor
    1- Freon

almost had to gave up my DSLR for this,

    some issues:
1-aircon doesnt cool yet, will be assesed next week maybe because of freon.
1-interior smells like moss (tried placing uling but no use)
1-headlights lens does not match, i bought the wrong replacement
1-no working lights at all from corner light, interior lights to headlights
    1-wipers need replacing
1-fog lamp bracket still needs replacing

Check engine light has been solve

    Upside:

    Almost RESTORED pics below

There is still a Minor problem with the Vanos, (a rattling sound is heard)

To gain Access to the Vanos Assembly the Engine cover is removed to reveal the ingnition coils (Yes, each cylinder has its own ignition coils) The Ignition coils are removed to expose the 6 sparks plugs

Im replacing the Suspension System, here are the prices (the parts i ordered are not for sport specification, just stock)

    Front Shocks 6300php

    Rear Shocks 3500php

    Rack And Pinion 3900php

    For the VANOS

    VANOS seal - 1700php

    VANOS diaphram Valve 500php

    October 2012
I replaced the Vanos seals, due to the corroded seals, the oil pressure was not high enough to fully circulate causing in a lost of performance. Due to the rarity of the gasket we have to fabricate out own.

    November 2012
THe only problem i have is the ABS warning light and the aircon, but apart from that I'm using this car for daily driving for 1 week just to taste the sweet feeling of success bahala og init.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that my fuel gauge is not working. it's like playing russian roulette. hahaah

whew, na undang ko sa ako photography kad**** dah.

This Car is definitely a keeper, i'll keep this and pass this on, pohun pohun

if minor scratches, you can have it rubbed down to make it shiny again. with regards to engine and interior, i think BMW parts are expensive. not sure though since i have never owned a bimmer before. i would give this a 4. body does not look that bad. haven't seen the interior though and the engine pics. good luck on your proj bro!

Engine and interior pics to be posted tom, damages are mostly located in the hood, left fender kanang na wala nga fog lamp, point of contact sa taxi; hope lang ko nga alive pa iya onboard computer.

Interior has molds all over and smells like moss, starter is alive, but engine wont fire cuz fuel tank empty, had it refueled but no pressure in fuel line. borrowed a battery from a honda civic, overall engine condition to be posted tom.
