Lens Hood + Filter - unsay imo ma recommend?

Lens Hood + Filter - unsay imo ma recommend?, i asked around and searched... na you cant have both and the same time... naa daw uban nga naay hood ug filter, but is it possible to have it sa mga Kit lens?

sakto si bro roboformacion. sa macy's naa daghan filter ug hoods and yes pwede ang hood sa kit-lens but i suggest ayaw gamit sa petal type kay mu-tuyok baya ang front sa lens when focusing so kataw-anan kaayo tan-awon nga hiwi ang petal hood. hehehe. i personally use both a UV filter (ND400 sad kung maka-borrow. hehehe.) and a hood on my kit lens nga 18-55. ^_^ try checking it out sa buy and sell section bro

:P I can see in your avatar is holding a camera. Have you tried looking at the grooves on the side of the lens and near the front element?

ang kanang grooves outside, anha ipapa-ak ang hood, while ang kanang grooves/thread near sa front element kay anha i-screw ang filter.

some screw type hoods can be attached on top of your filter (mine is). but mostly, as what sir arisarnado said, they're locked at the grooves on the side of the front element, di na siya mokumpetensya sa filter.

@ TS - yes u can use both filter ( UV, Lens Protect, NC) and lens hood ( Petal, Circular)together.

yeah i know about that i was able to mount a hood from a friend before, but as what ive asked around, many people said that you can only put it one at a time like if you put a hood you cant put a filter, vice-versa...

that got me confused coz there also people sayin that its possible to put them all together but the odds are on to one-at-a-time.... now im more confused..

before i get a hood and filter i need to know more details if a standard hood and filter can be used together at the same time or it requires specialize filter/hood...
