The substantial dollars came when he was knocking down opponents in a fashion not often seen - making him such a bankable athlete. It's not his fault if he's paid so much, it comes with his popularity brought about by how he hard he worked to be where he is now. Isn't that honorable enough?

its not about the question of credibility of pacquiao. we all know that he did a lot of things to somehow make us proud.

its just that some people always find time to criticize this "DAANG MATUWID" thing.

    "Oh how quickly the forget..."

All you schmucks seem to forget that EVERY TIME Manny fights, crime rates drop drastically.

Hell, even the Army and the rebels takes time off from their fighting, declares a ceasefire, and watch the fight. No General in any other army of the world that I know of can do that!

Now, if that doesn't qualify for some sort of recognition, then I dunno what will...

I don't see the relation -- the Army is all about peace and order, and Manny's fights have helped maintain that peace in order if only for the duration of his fights.

LTCOL Gwendolyn Garcia, Cebu Governor, replaced Maj. Soliver Peras as commander of the 1st Cebu Ready Reserve Battalion.

LTCOL TOMAS R OSMENA (E) PN (M) (R), is an elected Congressman representing Cebu City South District.

    So what's the big deal?
I was asked to signed up with the Ready Reserved Bn and was told to get the Rank of a Captain.

Only those who are uninitiated and unfamiliar with how the Ready Reserve Command system will violently react to this "promotion" of Congressman Pacquiao.

nice.. but not violently sir.. but don't you get it sir? just because many of the likes of you got elected doesn't mean that its valid sir.. so please quote the requirements or explain your qualities why you deserve to be a captain.
