SGS2 - dual core, limited apps, S-Amoled bigger screen

    >> ICS update is on its way. let's see how it looks!

iPhone4 - fluid UI, rich app selection, resale value

    >> iOS5 added oomph to an already eye-candy UI. sweet!

It's not just about the sheer number of apps oi. It's more on usability.

In iOS, limited kaayu ka in the sense nga you can't have widgets on screen. You're restricted to the 4x4 grid, nya para nako it was a very limiting experience. Though for gaming and similar use, nindut jud ang iPhone or in fact any of the iPhones.

Ang Android on the other hand, customizability is king. You can have widgets for time, weather, twitter feed, RSS feed, gmail, calendar, CPU usage, RAM usage, blah blah blah blah blah. And for me, this is the way a SMART phone should be like. True enough, the Android App Store is nowhere near the maturity of Apple's own, but it has enough apps which are truly usable to warrant being considered.

Pero in the end, it all boils down to preference. My suggestion is buy (or borrow) a Samsung SG2, try it out for a few weeks, then resell and buy the iPhone if di nimo feel.

I just want to say that ang games nga naa sa AppleStore are slowly being ported na to the Android Market. Though daghan pa jud nice na games wala pa. Which Im waiting.
Battery-wise I think same ra ilahang battery for me. SGS2 has a bigger screen so of course mas dali ma-drain. For those who knows how to Undervolt/Overclock their androids, then they know the battery can last. My main phone now is the sgs2. i get my RS Feeds, tweets and facebook and email and MSexchange mails pushed and synced to my Samsung every hour. I email and SMS and take photos and do my calls. End of the day I still get around 20%. On my iPhone4, i mostly use it now to use play games which my colleagues are also playing but its not in Android yet... like High Noon, Infinity Blade, StreetFighter, etc.... Basically its my GameToy for on the Go Gaming( Tambay nalang akoa PSP). End of the day my iPhone will also still have around 20% battery or its hooked on my mobile charger. I carry 2 on my bag everyday( 1 Eneloop 5000mAH and 1 MiPow 4000mAh packs)... So which of the two am i going to let go if I have to make a choice? Hmmm... Maybe my iPhone4... coz I plan to get an iPad2 or iPad3 instead.

HTC/android/WinMo/WP7 widgets pwde nimo ma apply sa iPhone.. kadto nigamit kog Galaxy S2, same old same old widgets makit-an.. pas2x lagi RAM pero ang battery pas2x pd ma drain.. screen ray nindot sa SGS2.. mao ra jd ako gibiliban..

    u call this 4x4??

Thanks sa comments. I like the comparison, alternatives, and options you guys gave.

I love how iPhone gets most of the best games first. As a matter of fact, I play on my iPhone4 more than my NDS before.
Battleheart, Infinity Blade, Streetfighter, Spiderman, Avatar and even Smurfs! lol

But a phone is a phone. You'd better get a console for your gaming urges. Right? or an iPad2?
And oh how I love Instagram and taking photos.. but I heard it has an Android version coming.. so are the games too.

Still have lotsa time to decide. MOOORE!
