our law is working, most death cause by a gun are caused by criminals... there are only few deaths caused by a licensed firearm normally they are just few rotten apples on the basket....

strikto na atong law you just dont know it.... our govt have done their part now its our turn to do our part...

An age old issue tat has been also answered countless times .

Both GUNS can PROTECT and USE as a TOOL to COMMIT CRIMES .

It depends on who is using it . The only thing I am concerned about is that someone said something about a lot of crimes are committed using guns . The real issue here is that , we are not certain if it is true that indeed the gun caused a lot of crimes and violence because the mere fact also that we all know dagang crimes na deter because of guns in the possession of the responsible owners .

GUNS are nothing different from a piece of rock , a pencil , scissor , knife , hammer , ice pick , metal chair , dos por dos etc . Even our very own bare hands are LETHAL WEAPONS .

So why man gitulis sila? Kanang mabiktima ug akyat-bahay. Why man gibiktima man sila ug akyat-bahay gang? Kadtong estudyante na babae na naglakaw padung sa ilang balay gikan sa eskwelahan na gitulis, gi-rape unya gipusil, nagmalinawon man to siya. Why man siya gipusil?
aw hinuon you got a point both of you bro nga dili gyud ta kompiyansa sa mga tawo karon pero ako lang pasabot nga di ka manghilabot, di pod ka hilabtan like anang disco2x, tagay2x, etc2x... Kung dili man siguro ka manguna, di man guro ka kakitag bikil but i agree with you now when it comes to protecting ourselves but ako pangutana is dili man tanang people makaown ug guns only those riches people nga makatag-iya ani, how about sa mga ordinary people just like us... wala gihapon tay mahimo nga mabiktima ra gihapon ta kay wala man tay pusil....

It's been brought to light that recently there are major crimes happening with regard to possession of firearms. An example is the shooting at SM Pampanga, another is the hostage crisis wherein even a mayor was involved in the negotiations. Another example is the story on a politician's bodyguards carrying firearms in their vehicle, while the politician is in another country.

It seems that although guns are purchased and carried to protect lives, it's used more for crime. For the people who do not possess any firearm, how are they to protect themselves when they encounter someone who is determined to harm another person with an illegally or even legally obtained gun?

What are your thoughts on this? Are guns protecting us, or a danger to us? Should guns be banned completely so no one, not even politicians or security personnel can carry one? Would that make the country safer?
I am a pro gun. . If people are just knowledgeable enough about gun/s, gun safety, and are responsible gun owners, there will be no incidents and accidents regarding uncontrolled/irresponsible gun handling. . It all boils down to responsible gun onwership. .JMO. .
