Sad..but that is reality. Capitalism at it's best. $8 is still a fortune sa pinas bai. Ask a sales lady at gaisano south, tabunok, or maybe even carcar. Gagmay kaayo na sila sweldo. Ask a janitor or a security guard, same Gihapon mas Gamay pa sa 8 dollars.

In Shenzhen, where apple products are made, nagkastrict nasal ang Mga labor laws diri. So I would only assume that it is within the limits of the law.

well, it only shows that no matter how big Steve's contribution to the world he is a Human Being and he is not a perfect individual.

well, some business models have this man pud bro. it depends on the paradigm of an individual. i've heard high end brands sell their prices at ridiculously high prices.

the logic for these businesses is this: "asa man ka? sa pobre na walay kwarta OG walay klaro mamamalit? or sa datu na sigurado gyud mamalit ug NAAI kwarta ikapalit?"

I'm not a businessman, but with logic like that, it makes sense. why would i build products that cater to the poor if the poor have no money to support themselves?

on the other hand pud, you also control the market. sometimes you DELIBERATELY sell items at a ridiculous price because rich people think they have access to items that their kind can afford.

mao man gud ni ila mindset, why would i buy a LV bag if my maid also owns the same thing? They want things that other economic classes cannot have. that's the thinking of most of them.

ultimately, customers set the price of the product....if a lot of customers are willing to shell out huge amounts of money for a certain product, it is irrelevant whether the profit is 100x than the cost of production....

Jobs is overrated.. he has a bad temper, he fires people in elevator, in comfort rooms,
he raises his dirty feet during meeting if his not convince,
he died without making peace to his real father, his father is trying to reconnect to his child but jobs ignored it, he did not address the factory problems in china, he denied his lovechild(Lisa) before,

overall like mark zuckerberg, they are getting so much credit from peoples hardwork and idea.
    overrated indeed!

The very explanation of " AANHIN PA ANG DAMO KUNG PATAY NA ANG KABAYO."

This should ave been addressed vocally when he was still alive .

I think dili naman tingali na hawak ni Steve Jobs ang nadangatan sa mga workers. D ba they are outsourcing the tasks?

"Apple is committed to driving the highest standards of social responsibility throughout our supply chain," Dowling said. "We require that our suppliers provide safe working conditions, treat workers with dignity and respect and use environmentally responsible manufacturing processes wherever Apple products are made."

Sa kadaghang atimanonon sa Apple, ang ilang rang tan-awn from their suppliers is kung sakto ba ang output nga ilang gi require. Whether gi-unsa sa supplier pagdala ang mga tao nila, its up to the supplier's company and the Chinese government.

D ba dapat i-blame na sa supplier and the government?
