8 defective SONY cameras...

Sony Corp has today announced that it has discovered a defect in eight of its Cyber-shot models.
The cameras affected were sold between September 2003 and January 2005,
they are the DSC-F88, DSC-M1, DSC-T1, DSC-T11, DSC-T3, DSC-T33, DSC-U40 and DSC-U50.

tsk tsk...
after a series of sensor problems and recalls...
a series of battery over heating problems and recalls...
then there was the PS3 issues...
now another series of camera problems...with loss of image on the LCD
what has this giant turning into...

whew! My DSC-T33 was bought last March 2005 in Japan. no problem with it, it's purrrrfect. maayo gani kay di apil sa mga defective units

im still a sony fanatic

even if you got it march...it may still be stocks before january 2005 and can still have the timebomb inside that will kill the lcd display...good luck nalang

Tsk tsk tsk. The problem with Sony these days is that they're trying to be the Jack of all Trades. Stick to consumer electronics Sony and who knows... maybe you can bring back the quality of your products (like the good ol days).

FYI, Canon had ccd problems with some of its cameras.
