MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Students and alumni of University of the Philippines Los Banos want justice for Given Grace Cebanico, Computer Science student, who was found dead near International Rice Research Institute 6:30am Monday.
Initial police reports say that Cebanico, a UPLB student, was raped and then killed. She had bruises all over her body and a bullet was found on her forehead.
UPLB student...s and alumni are seeking justice for Cebanico through social media. Some changed their profile photo to a black ribbon saying “Justice for Given”. Tonyo Cruz posted on his Twitter account “UPLB ComSci student Given Grace Cebanico, was raped, tied, and shot on the head last Monday night. #JusticeforCebanico Pls RT”. Joyvin Enabore also posted on his Facebook wall telling others to change their profile pictures.
