Default Anyone having a problem detecting the FULL 4GB on you PC?

Anyone having a problem detecting the FULL 4GB on you PC?

    Let me share you this:

My customer just bought 2 brand new DDR3 2gb ram (kingston) upon installing it my customer called me,he asked me "sure ka sir,4gb imu gi-install sa ako pc kay nagdetect is only 3gb...

and this brings me this answer, that you might be also passed through and yet not have given full answer and understanding.

before buying any motherboards to your pc try to refer this, those intel family chipset Mobile Intel 945GM/GME/PM and Intel 945GT Express Chipsets support up to 4 GB of addressable memory space and 64 KB+3 of addressable I/O space.
Addressing of memory ranges larger than 4 GB is not supported.Nganu man?
The (G)MCH does not support the PCI dual address cycle (DAC) mechanism, PCI Express 64-bit prefetchable memory transactions, or any other addressing mechanism that allows addressing of greater than 4 GB on either the DMI or PCI Express interface. The (G)MCH does not limit DRAM space in hardware. There is no hardware lock to stop someone from inserting more memory than is addressable.
That is why The (G)MCH provides a maximum DRAM address decode space of 4 GB. The (G)MCH does not remap APIC or PCI Express memory space. This means that as the amount of physical memory populated in the system reaches 4 GB, there will be physical memory that exists yet is non-addressable and therefore unusable by the system.
Mao ni siya ginatawag ug chipset limitation, ug dili board BIOS problem. Unya very Impossible to fix. Actually, Actually dili man ni sya problema, but a "natural" consequence sa 32bit hardware addressing logic.I must say it is impossible to fully use 4GB of system memory on these chipsets. kay ang 4GB address decode space are not just there for the system memory. Ang sobra or parti ani always needs to be reserved for other system function. mao na nga ang useable memory is always (always has to be) less then 4GB (the reserved part of the address decode space cannot be used to address the system memory).Dili na mo mahibong nganung 3GB or 3GB kapin ang mo display sa inyung system.

dili gihapon guaranteed ang akong gis
discuss dri specific type sa chipset dili in general issues..that's why gi-elaborate nako certain types of chipset don't know the others

one way to verify is open the Command Prompt the run resmon...go to the Memory tab and tanawa kung naa bai portion sa ram nga Hardware Reserved...
