$8, people! $8 to pay a worker to make an iPhone. While we throw away our hard earned money thinking on the other end someone was well compensated for it.

That's the reason most companies outsource their jobs to China. They get to maintain the quality control but for lesser cost of labor. Mao bitaw nang "God made mankind, the rest are made in China" the most high tech, high end ug unsa pa na nga high diha is made (or assembled) in China.

The situation is the same as rice farmers. They do all the hard work pero lain tao ang madato. Sila pa ang hago kaayo sila pa ang lubong sa utang.

I really don't understand why Jobs is receiving all this hero-worship. He was a good inventor and an excellent marketeer, but on the other hand he was also a control freak and a corporate bully and his devices were non-essential luxury items catering to the upper middle class and the elite. He was highly successful and obscenely rich, but his business ethics was less than stellar. All in all, he was just a very rich dude who sold a lot of fancy gadgets to other rich dudes.
