-u want a lighter camera
-u prefer higher ISO performance
-u want to take videos more than 5mins
-u want an articulating LCD
-u prefer the AF-S lens


D90 if:
-u want BIM in the camera body
-u want to use Commander Mode
-u want sturdier build
-u want to use the old but very reliable AF-D lens
-u want a top LCD and easier access for Aperture/Shutter/ISO/WB settings

if u want the best of both worlds - go D7000! (OT)

D5000 nlng kay active kaayo ang forum sa D5K dri, dapay daghan mka tabang nmo specially the MOPC guys & there founder sir master ocaniks, buotan kaayo, amigo sa tanan, sayun duolun, dali pangitan-on, dugay busogun ug lisug hubogun.......... hehehehe.....

d5100 kay bigger sensor same with the d7000... and go with the newer AF-S lenses nlng kay nindot naman jud ang mga new lenses. but if money is out of issue and u wont upgrade for a long time, like bro azinec said, go with D7000 nlng direcho!

If your not new to photography and money isn't the problem why not go to D7000, d300s or FF D700 para walay mahay... ^__^, coz the more you use your camera the more you crave for more......

If ako papilion ari ko sa D5100 kay mao na ako cam hehe....I been checking the D90 before pana nigawas but wala lang ko money pangpalit :-p....and then this year naka decide manko mo buy so I go to the newest release. Coz its hard na magsige ka mahay na maypa ang kuan ako gi buy kay wala pa maloma........

Go for the D5100, hehehe, I chose this over the D90, hehehe, a plus is the swiveling LCD, heheh
