Default New word for you today...

Am starting this thread to learn new words from anyone and also receive explanations on how to use these correctly.

To start of, I always feel uncomfortable when I see the word 'Furnitures', the plural form that most are aware of by adding 's'. Fact is, Furniture (without the 's') is both singular and plural.

What is the plural form of 'furniture''

Please feel free to add more to this...

^^ surprisingly, that word cannot be found at thesaurus.com.

if it's uncomfortable reading or hearing it, try:

"the fibromuscular tubular tract leading from the uterus to the exterior of the body in female."

Or go to: Urban Dictionary: synonyms vagina

Lot's of other words for that there...

^^ all the while I thought specie was the singular of species.

specie di.ay refers to 'money in coin.'

Specie - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

On the other hand, lection is 'a liturgical reading for a particular day" , but yes, in some printed dictionaries, it cannot be found. Online:

Lection - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

    Now I know.
