VILLANUEVA, YEO, WITNESSES TO SHED LIGHT ON SUNDAY INCIDENT

PBA commissioner Noli Eala has summoned Red Bull star Rico Villanueva and Coca-Cola rookies Joseph Yeo and Michael Gavino for a meeting Tuesday morning to get to the bottom of the truth regarding the incident after the Red Bull—Coca-Cola game Sunday.

During the 10 o’clock meeting, each of the three characters, who will meet the commissioner separately, will be given the chance to air their version that led to Sunday scuffle that took place at the parking lot of the Araneta Coliseum shortly after the Red Bull-Coca-Cola game won by the Barakos, 95-67.

Sketchy reports claimed that Gavino, who sustained a cut in his right brow, was trying to pacify Yeo and Villanueva when the Red Bull center caught him with a punch.

“We’re still gathering data and other information (regarding the incident),” Eala said.

“Without prejudging the incident, this is regrettable. I think this is obviously conduct that is unbecoming of a professional. And we definitely will not tolerate this,” he added.

Apart from the trio, the commissioner is also seeking the testimony of the Araneta Coliseum security people detailed at the parking lot as well as accounts of other witnesses.

The animosity between Villanueva and Yeo started last year when Yeo bloodied Villanueva in the nose during an exhibition game between Ateneo and La Salle. (DBC)

Defense specialist man gud to sya, to think nga mostly ang ma recognize sa mga fans ang mga scorers biya... Jackson was even part of the philippine team before, though reserved ra siya
