Default Share your experience using touch screen celphones

As a curiosity reason, i bought an apple iphone touch screen, to experience kung unsa ang feeling kung mag-text using it, but im so disappointed with it, kay grabe kadugay mahoman ug text kay grabe ka-sensitive ang screen, sige lang kasayop ang spelling. how about you guys? share your experiences/feelings regarding touch screen phones...

It takes a lot of getting used to it TS. However once you get the hang of it, you'll appreciate ur touch screen phone even more coz of the features and the apps you can benefit from it.

From experience, it took me awhile to get used to the texting part but by nature, I don't text much so I use my fone as my net usage/browsing or making calls. Funny thing with my obsession with the apps that I always end up touching the screen of my lappy as if it's touch screen, too... na-habit na jud nako na all screens are like my phone lols...

Correct! same here, labi na mag dali ka ug text hehehhe, na anad nako ug old way of texting, then pag abot nako ug touch screen lahi ra dyud if walay feed back, pero we can set the phone features like sound and vibrate feed backs when you type, I tried Windows Mobile, Android, and now iOS, e disable lang ang auto correct, aron dili ingon ani ang ma send nimo

Pero still I have my back up phone, my old nokia, I can text faster without looking at the keypads than my iphone lolz, pero minus the Threaded SMS, which is very useful.

Touch Screen phone with slide QWERTY keyboard is realy nice also.

In terms of TYPING on QWERTY keyboards

    Touch Screen:
Faster typing due to the less pressure that you have to add with each button.
It won't strain/hurt since there's no pressure that's needed to be added.
Can be difficult for first timers.
Not too advisable for folks with huge fingers.
Good for short texts/sentences on emails, messengers or sms (kay frustrating gyud siya w/ long messages for me)

    Physical Keyboard (like blackberry):
Needs a bit of pressure when pressing buttons.
Can be easier for typing because the keyboard is not sensitive (as with touch screens)
Can be disadvantageous to people with huge thumbs, but if you get used to it, you're good.
Better for long messages in email, sms, IM's, etc.

    My preference?
Physical qwerty. I email, text and do twitter and facebook a lot. Mas po prefer ko ug physical keyboard gyud. In the end, it all comes down to preference and your needs.
Do you do a lot of multimedia, browsing and navigating? or you do a lot of texting emails and typing.

If you do both, my solution would be a physical keyboard phone + iPod touch lol

According pud to folks who have been using touch screen phones, ma borred ra daw ka in the long run with touch screens. I personally can't testify since i've always been on physical keyboards
