Just take a look at there G3 Denver concert just shows he is not on par with vai and satriani...just shreds the whole time. Don't get me wrong i admire his fast playing and neo classical style i have CD's of him too but as far as being a great guitarist, i don't think so. There are better guitarists here in cebu who plays with feeling. Peace!!

inday the word "great guitarist" is purely subjective. you may find him boring coz as you said he "just shreds the whole time". coz maybe shredding is not your cup of tea or you dont know how to shred. the thing here is, it really depends on what quality of the guitarist you tend to appreciate. well, you are entitled to your opinion as i am entitled to mine. i like shredding and i like yngwie. tuo nimo balik2 ra, of course, arpeggios/sweeping man iyang specialty. and just so you'll know, tanang guitarista naay distinct signature and favorite licks add up favorite figure and favorite routine. gets?
Nuno Bettencourt - Extreme
Paul Gilbert - Mr. Big, Racer X
Jimmy Page - Led Zeppelin
I do 'somehow' agree that Slash is overrated but when it comes to effortless performance with emotions, no doubt, he's the best into it.
