HP dv2000 series - display problem

Bro, naa koy hp dv2000 series artist edition.. Ang problema niya kay naay distortion ang display every 3-4 seconds... Medyo makalibat pud gamay kay mag sige man balik-balik.. Pero kung gamitan nako ug external monitor then set nako ug dual ang display.. ang external kay ok raman kaayo pero ang lcd kay naa jud distortion. Unsa kaha possible cause ani? Sa GPU kaha gihapon ni nga problema?

yup gpu na. basta HP common issue na niya. bad choice kaayo ang mo palit ug HP nga laptop. except sa mga new models karon.

Di sad kaha na loose contact sa LCD panel? Kay ok raman kaha ang external, gisuway nimu na external ra ang gamiton dili dual? mu distort ba gihapon?

dili na sa gpu kay ok man ang extended display. basin sa lcd na problema.. murag daghan display related problems ang hp laptops.

Naglibog lang jud ko ani kung gpu ba gihapon ni ang hinungdan or sa circuit naba which is responsible for producing an output to the lcd.. Since lahi-lahi man ang gapa display sa external ug sa attach lcd sa laptop...

Nvidia GPU Settlement Covers Apple, Dell, and HP


A little payback for getting a bum GPU.

The Nvidia GPU material defect may be behind the company's latest products, but some customers haven't forgotten the sting that they felt when their GPU failed inside their notebooks.

The good news for those affected (at least in the United States) is that the class action settlement is almost ready for everyone to take part in.

Right now, the covered laptop models are ones from Apple, HP and Dell. Owners of the Apple and Dell laptops with the faulty GPU may have their hardware replaced. HP laptop owners, however, may receive a replacement notebook of similar kind and value.

Nvidia will fund $2 million for reimbursement, which will be used for repairs.

Of course, Nvidia holds steady in that it did nothing wrong.

"NVIDIA denies all allegations of wrongdoing and has asserted many defenses," a notice issued by the U.S. District Court reads, according to AppleInsider. "The settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing."

You have a point on that but how come ok ra siya if external? Possible from GPU to LCD panel na connection ang problem ani. Naa pa na warranty?

wala na ni warranty bro kay 1 year na ni kapin... And unfortunately wala siya maapil sa extended warranty sa HP.. I already checked the serial At the website given by the HP..

Libog lang jud ko ani niya kung asa ko dapit mag trouble.. Kapila na nako gi check ang connection to lcd gud.. Hugot naman jud kaayo ang socket.. Then, if GPU problem pud dapat dili na siya makaplay ug games pero ok man gihapon siya.. I tried playing warcraft, transformers, and NBA2k11.. ok raman kaso lang naay mo distort every 3-4 seconds..
