the idea was OK but the implementation was not good. what i saw from the report there are only less than 50 bikers on the street. IMO dli angay pra msira ang osmena blvd for that 50 bikers lng.

Maybe the Road Revo organizers think they can fool others. But they sure can't fool Bobby Nalzaro.

    Nalzaro: Crazy and stupid exercise

ORGANIZERS of the Road Revolution claimed success in part 2 of their stupid and crazy exercise last Saturday. Parts of the Parian district and Colon St. were closed to traffic. The objective was to give back the streets to the people and to promote a pollution-free environment.

With the roads closed to vehicles, smoke and fumes disappeared in these areas. It was a repeat of a similar activity on Independence Day when the whole Osmeņa Blvd. stretch was closed.

The recent activity caused traffic jams in nearby streets. People had to walk to their respective offices, and so too churchgoers going to the Sto. Niņo church and the Cathedral. Their daily routine was disrupted.

Drivers and passengers of public utility vehicles protested. Owners of establishments in the affected areas complained because their workers reported late and some were absent. It was a chaotic day in the streets.

So what success are they talking about? That exercise achieved nothing except for publicity mileage for the organizers, who have personal and hidden agenda. Only a handful of bikers, skaters and pedestrians participated in it. Most of the people that walked were not participants but were those forced to do so because the road was closed.
