Is it possible that ISTORYA.NET might create a new forum or division involving Engineering / Technical questions / inquiries (Non IT). Those could be helpful not just for the professionals but also for the students.

Those that could be related to Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and even Architecture?

While it would be possible to do so, there is a big possibility that the sub-forum will be inactive in a few months as there is a very small interest in the subject as far as the members of the forum is concerned. however, should the need arise, this will definitely be looked into.

It would be very helpful if this sub forum is available in Istorya. The population of this forum is not only dominated by IT professionals. I know lots of people who log in to ISTORYA that are majoring other fields in engineering (construction , architecture, etc..) . If there is a sub forum in ISTORYA where doctors and medical people use or share ideas about health concerns, would it be helpful also that people would talk about topics concerning in how to improve their homes, what material would be suitable for it's construction, what motor and other mechanical equipments will be used to design an automatic closing / opening gate, or what motor control diagram to use for a Y - Delta 3 phase induction motor.

As an Engineer, I myself could share lots of things, but I also need other professionals and even students to share their knowledge and know-how...

This is just my ideas and suggestions.

there is already a sub-forum for medicine which is the Health and Fitness forum. try checking it out... i dont know with engineering threads. we might include that with our plans but thanks for suggesting!

hullo mods and those concerned thread starters. I'm just wondering to what thread should i post ecology and nature themed topics? I want to post cetacean conservation but i don't know where to post it. please help

it's one of those topics that fail to neatly sit with any of those that are available in the forums presently.

i suggest picking out among 2 boards. Politics & Current Events - if it concerns some whales coming featured in the news recently, or the catch-all General Discussions board.

i was about to suggest Sports & Recreation, since nature conservation can call under 'recreation', but seeing the whole board screaming sports, cetacean conservation might look lost in there.

these are just suggestions, though. i'm sure my fellow mods or other forum members might have better ideas. :mrgreen:

Thank you kind sir. I was also thinking of posting it at News and Announcement but I guess it is exclusive for istorya.net....

I also have no idea/news of any cetaceans coming so, I can't post it on Politics and Current Events yet I thank you for your suggestion.
