If Ninoy was alive he may or could have made philippines better. Cory made everything worst.

^Truly agree. Our Late Cory was just forced by the people that surrounds her that time.

She was a puppet. People wanted ninoy but he died so they thought cory might do good too.

^^ Agree... Marcos had some fine moments and to this day, some of his positive creations / visions are still in use. But with Cory Aquino, we all missed that golden opportunity to rebound and rebuild the nation. I was too young to remember her presidency but from the looks of it, it seems that there was too much mismanagement. Too much democracy, no discipline, and it was just a matter of time that our ASEAN neighbors overtook us in terms of development.

Marcos ang pinaka promising unta nato na pres..

except lng wala niya ma foresee.. na with martial law.. matabo jud na abuses sa mga military and police..even walay order from the top..

kay nature na sa tao makatilaw ug power.. mu abuso..

the difference sa unang panahon. wla pa cellphone, internet ug facebook..
naa media pero controlled by govt..

if karon to panahona.. dili ka abuse ang militar kay ang media karon is owned by the masses..tru internet..!

so i believe na walay martial law matabo at present times..or if even matabo man na.. dili na kaayu pareho effect sa time ni Marcos..

..Now we have learned lessons na progress can be done if we unite..dili kay pipila ra kabuok mag power grab!

We started better that Singapore, but where are we now?

Marcos was brilliant. Unfortunately his sycophants were not and were only after enriching themselves at the expense of the people. His brilliance was no match to the schemes of the greedy people around him.

I'd say we need a leader with an iron fist. And followers who have only the nation's interest in mind and not their own.

Otherwise, the very old saying that 'only the rich become richer and the poor poorer' will remain true.
