i was listening to a radio interview of former Bohol OIC Governor Victor de la Serna.

He said nga...maau daw ang first 2 years sa martial law kay naay nakita nga progress. pero after 2 years gi hijack nila imelda ug cronies si marcos, hantod nga nalubong ang pilipinas.

He said nga mas maau pa daw ug naay martial law nga sakto ang tumong, kaysa absolute democracy nga ang mahitabo extreme poverty.

^^ I tend to agree with the observation of de la Serna. During that time, grabe ka disiplinado ang tanan taw, dato man o pobre. I really think that there is also something wrong with absolute democracy kay sige nalang hinoon panaway sa gobyerno. I still think Marcos could have been our Lee Kuan Yew, but something or someone twisted it all.

as powerful as Marcos, nothing or noone can twist it. Martial Law leads to Dictatorship and Dictatorship is self-destruction.

If we believe some of those who observed the goings on during that time, it was not really Marcos who started the atrocities. It is more like he did nothing to stop or at least control those who did and that does make him equally accountable.

Dili tanan tawo pariha ug pangutok ni LKY if hatagan ug gahum.

By the way, aside sa Singapore duna pa bay lain example sa nasud nga na under sa dictatorship nga nadatu? kay i can give a lot of countries today nga under dictatorship nga nagkamang sa kalisod ug grabe ang human rights violations.

Kinsa diay nag approve sa Martial Law? kinsa diay naghatag ug grabeng gahum sa mga militiary to do warrantless arrest?

Speaking of Control, daghan mga companya ang tag iya sa Makoy pero lain name ang gipadala like Lucio Tan, Verbal rang agreement ana nila way kasulatan mao bitaw pagakamatay ni makoy way nahimu ang mga marcos sa Asia Brewery kay way kasulatan. If wala pay control si Makoy sa iyang mga tawo, musugot kaha to siya ug verbal Agreement ra sa iyang minilyong negosyo. For the fact that si Makoy di na magkinahanglan ug Written agreement sa iyang negosyo nga ipadala sa laing tawo nagpakita unsa ka powerful si makoy, unsa ka hadlok sa iyang mga tawo niya, ug gi unsa niya pag control iyang mga cronies.
