Tourist visa? which country? i think you have to check with the embassy of the country you wish to go.your info is incomplete. Usually, they wont require NBI clearance (they might not even honor it). AFAIK, NBI clearance is required para ra sa atong passport not sa tourist visa. I think the embassy of the country you wish to go to, will not honor ang NBI clearance. If im not mistaken, DFA documents(with red ribbon) ang pangayoon sa mga Embassy since mao na ang official dept nga naghandle sa foreign affairs..Better double check sa embassy/consular office sa imong padulngan TS.

The country that im applying for as a tourist visa is Australia. Ive actually talked to a guy from Via in cebu and then he told me that its not necessary to have an nbi clearance but then im hesitant though cos you know u get to pay the processing fee but then if it wont be approved just a waste of money as well.. Hehehehehe

the processing for NBI had changed they will entertain those who have priority number.

Are they gonna decline my visa if i dont have nbi clearance??

Have you tried applying for a tourist visa before too??

    Thanks for your reply.....

^^ sorry TS. never been to australia. I don't know if they are in anyway different from the US Visa. i applied for China, Taiwan & US visa's & never did they ask for a NBI clearance. Like i said, i think they will not honor any other document from our country unless it came from malacanang/DFA.

Re: Processing Fee..it is common, even for US visa. paying the said fee does not mean that you will get approved. i would suggest to search the australian embassy website. it think they will give you a list on what you must prepare. if you are going to australia as a tourist, then the processing fee should not matter that much..hehehe

    Goodluck on your application TS.
