WANT TO SEE SOME SHOOTING STARS?
This is not similar (not even close) to the 2001 Leonid Meteor Shower where the heavens put on
a grand celestial fireworks display. The peak activity will only favor Western Europe and some parts
of Africa since it's day time here but we can see a glimpse of those meteors streaking past before our
very own eyes prior to its peak time.
Start looking at constellation Leo (the lion) where the meteors appears to radiate. Leo is in the East
and pretty near planet Jupiter (see image below), they'll be high in the sky by the time the clock strikes 3AM.
That's Sunday but you can try starting tonight as Earth approaches the debris left by a comet decades ago.
It's about time to re-awaken our inner child and have a moment to look up to the sky we usually ignore,
there are lots of stories up there.
