Asilo Calls on Parents, kin of abandoned children

The Asilo dela milagrosa, a licensed and accredited child-caring agency is lookling for the parents or relatives of the children who are currently under the agency's care.

The concerned parents or relatives may visit social workers Gerald O. Ebanen or Ailaine A. Aringa from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm or call Asilo at 232-2443.

Failure to come to Asilo within three months grace period beginning today would mean declaration of the child's abandonment for adoption through the Department of Social Welfare and Development pursuant to Republic Act (RA) 9523, or An Act Requiring the Certification of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to Declare a Child Legally Available for Adoptiion.

Sorry if the title is kinda misleading of some sort but This Birth Month of mine (SEPTEMBER), I am planning to go to Asilo de la Milagrosa which is located at General Maxilom Avenue on OCTOBER 8, 2011 SATURDAY (Since dili ta pwede sa SEPTEMBER 24 which is the day before my birthday kay naa na daw naka schedule mag outreach sa ilaha) 8AM to 10AM! I am not quite sure yet how many kids are there but I am planning to have another SNACK ATTACK for the older kids and a DIDI SESSION with the babies who are under their care and have been abandoned too at an early age. I have some old but not overused and badly damaged baby bottles of Annya, my daughter, which I will donate with maybe a can or 2 of Infant milk for these babies who have been abandoned by their parents!

If you guys wanna JOIN or DONATE man lang in KIND or in CASH, please do contact me and do so! What you share would really count or do a lot!

UPDATES:

I called ASILO DE LA MILAGROSA just now! The slot/schedule which we pre-planned which is SEPTEMBER 24, 2011, the day before my birthday, is already taken! Naa na daw naka plano mag OUTREACH ana na time! And so our schedule will be moved to OCTOBER 8, 2011 8AM to 930AM! I hope you guys could come! It would also be nice since we would have an even longer preparation time for this event! Okay ra nako na dili matunong duol sa akong birthday! Ang importante ang mga bata na malipay sa atung buhatun! Anyway, here are the other details that I got from interviewing the one in charge there!

67 KIDS IN TOTAL

BABIES - 7 ( Males = 2/ Females = 5)
TODDLERS - (2 to 4 yrs old) - 15 (Males = 9/ Females =6)
ELEMENTARY - (Preschool to Grade 6) - 14 (Males = 2/ Females = 12)
HIGH SCHOOL - 8 (Males = NONE/ Females =
COLLEGE - 23 (Males = 7/ Females = 16)

*** BABIES Milk Formula's needed/used - NESTOGEN 1 & 2 (The one in charge are asking if possible for us to donate these since these are the ones that they do not have much including baby bottles! We could only SEE the 7 BABIES but we can't HOLD THEM or FEED THEM since they have just been released daw from the HOSPITAL last week due to a VIRAL INFECTION!)

*** TODDLERS & OTHERS Milk needs/used - Nido, Bear Brand 1+ or 3+ (Since these can also be ingested by the OLDER KIDS!)

-MILK Formulas (Nestogen 1 & 2, Bear Brand, Nido, Bonna kid, Bonna or anything cheaper!)
-Food (Instant Noodles, canned goods, candies, chichirya, tetra packed juice or litro pack juice na kutawun pa!)

THINGS TO BRING:

-Plastic bags (Recycled or new will be accepted as long as it is still in good condition!)
-Banig, Trapal, Sako, Big Boxes or Balikbayan Boxes (To put on the GRASSY AREA para atung yaka-an while mag sort ta and pack sa mga DONATIONS and ang SAKO ato sad butangan sa mga PACKED na nga mga stuffs in a plastic bag!)
