If someone is looking for 'Every Child Is Special' and cannot find it, the Indian name is 'Taare Zameen Par' which means - Stars on the ground. Another great Aamir Khan movie that i would recommend is 'Lagaan - Once Upon A Time In India'. This was an Oscar nominated movie. Period drama, set in the British Era. Oppressed villagers challenge their British landlords to a game of Cricket. If they win, they get to avoid heavy taxes for several years.
The movie 'Black' by far is one of the best Indian movies ever made. Inspired by the life of Helen Keller, Black used black/white contrast and tones with a very strong storyline to show how a deaf/blind/mute girl learns to communicate by the efforts of a brilliant and unconventional teacher.
Let me know if anyone would like more recommendations for great Indian cinema. I can offer suggestions

Another recommendation with an upcoming star over the last couple of years is a movie called 'Rajneeti' which means Politics. Its a very accurate portrayal of the Indian political system and how corruption is a part of all political systems. This new star (which im sure the ladies will love ) is Ranbir Kapoor. Very talented.
In another one of his well performed roles (which also showcases his ability to flex his style), he plays a student with no ambitions in 'Wake Up Sid' which has an awesome soundtrack too. I made mixtapes with the soundtrack and gave it as a Christmas gift in 2009, and everyone loved it! Give it a try!
A Korean movie im dying to get hold of is 'Sector 7', a new survival horror themed movie that just got released in August (I realise i have very varying taste in movies ).
Does anyone have a copy if one is even available?
