Let's face reality, the government cannot help us. True, the Philippines has abundant potentials to become a rich country but the problem is the unequal distribution of wealth. When you are in the province or town, it's very frustrating to ponder that tens of thousands of hectares of land are owned by a haciendero family and local warlords, which they have connections in the government, especially in Congress. CARP (Comprehensive Agrarian Land Reform Program) only remains in the paper and storybook of daydreaming Filipino peasants.

It's true. Most call centers do not openly admit that they are bored with their job and wished there could be something much better out there, and sometimes feel that they are far more better that what they are currently doing. But the fact stays the same, it is hard to find a non-call center company who can offer better pay. Although there are local companies who can offer a much more higher salary but the competition is great. And you have to start at the bottom of the food chain.

My advice for those who are capable and is willing to sacrifice for awhile, especially for the fresh graduates who have good potentials with their profession, work on your chosen field or career even if the starting salary is not that lucrative. Later on you will reap the benefits of your hard work.

It's so fascinating to think that in India, algebra, trigonometry and calculus are being taught in Basic Education (elementary).. While filipino elementary students are having a hard time memorizing the Multiplication Table (myself included)

yep i know, and i was responding to his post figuratively too. daghan mosulod sa call center na dili "beggars" na nangihanglan jud ug kwarta ASAP. a considerable number of them are from the middle class na naa pud kaya gamay, and can afford to enter a low-paying job for the experience lang to further their field of expertise.

This is true for all jobs not just Call center companies. Others are retaining on their job because they have nowhere to go and these even management staff, supervisors and manager. They are even bored and complain on the type of management they have which are not Call Center companies and they just say "YES and YES" to their bosses like a good old dog who is afraid to venture greater things for their life. Just doing their best in licking ass. Not me.

^^ kapoy bitaw na kanang mag "YESMAN" ka. unya contagious raba na and toxic.

if one person consistently says yes to a counterpart manganad na. kung manganad mag expect pud na same ninyo. ang mahitabo ana wala namo free thinking. puro nalang mo tools. instead of being hired to think for the company the company thinks for you.

    1. bpo(s) are a stepping stone not a life-time job
    2. while your on the bpo you get to explore big companies and determine the level of service they offer
    3. a practical way to earn money. fair salary
    4. constant blabbering about the 'big one can afford' to get anyone else is a joke. important fact is to get a job to suffice your needs.
    5. they're benefits coincide with the line of work they offer.
    6. there are a lot of people going abroad working for other countries. imagine the tax they contribute.
    7. there are so many job opportunities available. its not a dead-end job. they're trying to determine if its worth leaving or the new job they are looking for would be better or not. its part of decision making.
    8. promotion is always there. you can use the experience when you apply to another job.
