but they are as well encouraging our youth to go abroad in this case... why won't they offer more jobs locally?
Most of our youths nowadays are taking up courses just because for money purposes and sometimes forget what they want.
we tend to forget that once we are trained to something that we don't really heartily love , we won't be as much as productive as to be trained to the things that we really love to do.

Not necessarily brad. You can work here in the Philippines, be self employed, or go abroad if you want to. Those are the advantages of being an engineer or engineering graduate. There are engineers who opt to stay in the Philippines, even if their salary is not that high but prefer simple living with their loved ones.

"why won't they offer more jobs locally?"- Then you make your own company, in other words, be self employed. If you are ingenuative enough, you can start from scratch like make a computer program if you are involved in CompE or IT, provide electrical building plans if you are an EE (even ECEs can make basic building wiring design), support in building houses or household water supply if you are a CE, and so much more. It doesn't earn much but along the way, things might go better.

"Most of our youths nowadays are taking up courses just because for money purposes and sometimes forget what they want."- True, mostly we see that in Nursing (apologies for some). But in the case of parental guidance, they should suggest to their child who are preparing for college to take those courses which are in synergy with what they like AND what is practical nowadays.
