Does anyone know where to buy cheesecloth in Cebu City? I have already tried Ayala (Gaisano fabric department) with no luck. I've read that some people use cheesecloth to make costumes for Sinulog. I will use it in an attempt to make home-made ricotta fresca (fresh ricotta) and maybe even fresh mozzarella cheese. I've got a few recipes and the ricotta doesn't seem too difficult at all.

If it turns out well, I will post the recipe. If it doesn't turn out well, then I won't. I will be the guinea pig...heheh.

If you know, please tell me where cheesecloth is sold here in Cebu City.

i think chesscloth in Cebu is called "katcha" or "Katsa", i'm not sure of the spelling. It's in ayala metro. There are different textures from rough to smooth. Just ask the saleslady.

Hehehe, ako sauna mura sad ko buang cge pangita ana nga cloth... When i showed our maid what a cheese cloth looked like, she laughed at me and said "Sus katsa raman diay imu pangita! Ka layso sad nimu uy, pa cheese cloth cheese cloth paka." hahahhah hahay
