we were the benchmark country before martial law. you can't blame me for using another benchmark since our current country is a d4mn joke today than it was before. Marcos may be long dead but his seeds of malice continue to grow.

IMO, The lesser evil would be to practice our fields even if it is ANOTHER country. Remember that OFWs rake in the real income for our country. NOT CCs that bury us in debt. But that is contrary to what other say here that it's best to stay IN the country.

going abroad isn't that easy also, even if your profession is good. you have to deal with a lot of competition and most of the foreign employers need at least 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE. But, in the philippines, where do we get that experience from ?? just consider nurses.

You get that experience by getting a job here of course. Stay there 2 years or so. no complaining coz it's a given gamay sweldo diri. but as one said here: it's just a stepping stone. a step that CC cannot give you.

While you're on the topic of nurses, lisud ka kita job ug nurse kai saturated ang market pud nila. I have foreseen this issue a long time ago. Pa suko2x pa mga estudyante. Pa ingon2x pa gilait nako ang nursing course. Pa defend2x pa sa kurso nila na nanglata sila sa kadaghan.

Karon unsay resulta? Walay mga trabaho ang mga bruha! Who was right all along? 3 times in a span of one year nag remind ang POEA head sa mga nurses and other mass medical professions to "shift course".

Karon I see that same thing about to happen to call centers.

Kung mura ta mga ilaga na modugok sa "uso" yabo gyud ta tanan. Walay maayong negosyo/trabaho na makasugakod kung dunganon ninyo ug kadaghan.

ako pud I know someone..nagwork sa CC while nag study...tua bag o lang dyud nakagraduate ug LAW... and soon abugada na.

Let us just say, some people opted to work in cc's while some decided to work in the degree they took up in college. Both earn money. Both have mouth to feed. Both have needs. It is up to the individual which choice they make.

Please remember that what happened to you, sir tokidoki, is not applicable to all. Each and everyone has different priorities and is in different situations. Not everyone was given the opportunity to finish their degrees. If even the state colleges increased their tuition fees of up to 300%, what will happen to those who can't afford them? Istambay lang pirmi?

I agree to what Harish Hande said. We should not limit our youth to cc industry only. But to put cc's in bad light, for me, is just downright wrong. Whether you agree or not, CC industry is indeed a temporary remedy for our economy.

For me, it all boils down to personal preference and individual decision. To insist your views with how people choose their work may be an insult.

Furthermore, one's work doesn't always directly affect his/her lifestyle. I've been in CC for almost two years but I am the same 'poor man' I was when I came in. Simply because I know how to manage my priority and invest my money wisely.

Please let us live our life the way we wanted to.

wala tamo pugngi mag trabaho ug CC. basta ang importante lang nawarningan mo. aw, kung di mo maminaw ok ra gihapon. basta lang don't resort to bragging to me about your overpriced macbooks that you bought with cash (like a certain CSA istoryan here) even though the price is no different than buying it with a card. (an anticlimax to all your preachings of having enough to feed your belly when in reality it went to your gadget and wardrobe collection)
