It's been two years that I'd been single and met different kinds of guys and I believe it's enough for me to know what I really want in a man.

I need a man who doesn't hide behind the shadow of his family especially of his mother because I don't like someone who can be spineless and a man of few words because he still waits for the approval of his family whenever he makes decisions for himself.

I need someone who appreciates me not for the things I can offer to him but for the woman that I was when we met and the person that I have become now that we're together. He doesn't have to be grandiose with words and actions but a simple smile, hug or 'thank you' would be enough to validate myself that I did well.

Lastly, I need him to love me wholly and not some parts of me that he only likes because that would easily make him change his mind and not stay when something goes wrong in the relationship. in other words, he loves all of me and my imperfections and idiosyncracies in life.

I hope this man I'm pining for still exists in this lifetime. If there's a shortage of such then I'd rather be single for the rest of my life
