I agree with MarkCuering on this one. As what I have posted before, one must find a language that he is comfortable with and which he can, of course, benefit on his chosen career path. A language is only a tool. We choose the tool that is appropriate for the job and which we are comfortable with.

Para nako Java is also good to learn OOP. Because, Java was created using OOP principles in mind just like smalltalk.

    PLEASE PM me the syntax:

    This the problem:
Create a program to accept Roman Numeral values & output with the corresponding decimal value.

Note: it should be class type.

this thread is starting to get Language vs Language topic, it doesnt really matter what language is better to use when doing OOP its more of a preference in where you will be comfortable when coding, find out where you will be happ, and if your happy with using assembly language as OOP then go ahead be my guess (bahalag imposible)

programmer excel in their field it they love what theyre doing not because its what is in demand...

coding is like a circle, you can always go on opposite direction and still you will end up where you started

most clients dont care how you do it (except for some) its the result that matters most...

Maybe that CLIENT doesnt know how important are OOP, coding standards, Design Patterns, etc..., in software development. Or maybe that client doesn't care about the COST. =)

based from personal experienced on my mostly corporate client, they dont really care if how its will be done, its the results that they are after, isnt thats the idea of outsourcing?... so you dont need to worry on the development, just reap the results...

client who specify technical details are mostly developers or programmers who outsource some of their project, im one of those people who outsource some of my projects!!
