Just passing this on to prevent fellow PC owners/buyers from being exploited.

Actually the truth behind that is ang cash price "discounted" kunohay. In reality the regular price is the cash price nga gipatongan ug surcharge.

I asked a certain store pag sale nila. How come ang usa ka item 15% off if cash and 10% off if credit card? The cashier said naa man daw processing fees ang credit card. Nagyawyaw gyud ko. "Maayo ninyo noh! kami pabayron sa inyo fees nga dapat it's at your expense. Ngano kami man inyo pabayron ana?!"

Ang sakto man unta ana if your store processes credit cards there is a fee for availing of that service. Bali gikwartahan sa banko ang tindahan. Ang naka apan ana kay kita moi giyabohan sa ila gastos, which is wrong. Unsa ila problema ilaha ra. Wa ta labot. Everyone just wants to scam someone and the consumer is the end-victim.

I don't see why it's such a pain for them to spend a few pesos. Pila ra man tawn na oi. 8%-10%? labing dako ana is 50 pesos sa mga average 500 peso item nga minilyon mana ila kita. Di man siguro sila mamatay ana. Buot nimo huna hunaon mas convenient for everyone ang credit card. Walay checking if orig ba or fake ang peso bill. Walay sukli-ay. Exact amount only. Hay, Pinoy, paano ka ginawa?

Anyway, I'm just really glad that consumer rights are really on the rise. This is yet another act that I find very considerate for DTI. Now let's also see their ability to act. Suwayi daw nato ug sumbong ang kanang mga tindahan diha nga nag pa ugat.

Somewhat relating to the topic of PCs I called 2 PC stores regarding this matter and, surprise, surprise i was met with a remark "sorry, sir, gi temporarily on hold among credit card payments".

I fear ang regular consumers mo suffer. Coz di gyud na mahitabo mo barato sila. It's highly likely the regular price will be the cash price to be fair to the cash buyers and not for the cc buyers.

Its not only with credit cards, also with DEBIT cards/Cash Cards. They handle them like they are credit cards. If that happen to you, that they do not give you the cash price if you pay with a DEBIT card, like Visa Electron, just call your bank and complain, they will take care of that (I did that already).

Mao jud bro. Try ko palit HHD for my laptop sa SM (seagate man siguro na) gamit unta ko ako Debit card but the saleslady said, mura ra daw credit card... Ingon ko na ang Debit card is good as cash man na unlike credit cards... wala na lang ko dayon palit!

i think store owners need to orient their people about this. They should make sure na sakto ang gipangtubag sa ila sales pesonnel. dili ra ba ang sales person ang madaot ang tindahan ra ba. for me, the store's integrity reflects on what kind of personnel and service they have. so, kung bati ang service and bati ang employee then bati jud na na store. agree?
