I just hope this resignation has got nothing to do with his health. He really hasn't been looking that well lately. And though he leaves Apple in very good shape, this is still pretty big. Steve Jobs is not only a true visionary, he was Apple's best salesman.

There would be no other reason to resign than his failing health. Let's just hope his cancer has not returned. He had hinted these past few years that if he could no longer function as a CEO, he would resign. Everybody knew this day would eventually come.

I think it's best for him to resign to have him focus on his medical issues. Also, it's time to realize that we cannot have Steve Jobs forever. I believe in Apple.
