what about putting a pen!s on a picture of your mama's face will that not offend you? putting a quran next to a crucifix is not offensive unlike putting a pen!s on a person you love or highly respected. a pen!s is not bad but putting it in an improper way like placing it on a face of a thing considered sacred is considered a sign of disrespect to many people. people have different interpretations to things you know. thats why we have a lot of religions coming out. we need to be careful and sensitive enough so that we wont be misinterpreted by other people. we cant even type the word pen!s here in istorya.net and its automatically filterd and changed with asterisks.

i dont find anything wrong with that video. putting a pen!s on an image considered sacred is different from that.

^^^mao gani gitawag ug poleteismo para dli ka dapat ma offend. Did you even get the video? phalluses were also sacred in Olango and for 110 years na nga wagtang ang tradition kay gipa undang sa pari atong panahona kay 'bastos' lagi. Catholicism does not totally own Philippine history. That's why ang artworks are being presented as an evolution to the worship of various objects from pre-colonial(phallus), colonial(christ, crucifix, etc.) and present(liquor bottles, celebs, etc.) Philippines.

This is what the artist is trying to pull but apparently colonial paman gihapon ang pangisip sa mga tao so that makes me sad that i'm stuck at painting carabaos, rice fields and, i assume your favorite, ... church facades! Don't get me wrong. They're beautiful still but that's like listening to mozart your whole life while the rest of the world mourned at Amy Winehouse.

The very fact that you did not get the gist of my post suggests that either you did not understand it or chose not to. You've been blinded by belief that you could not even differentiate what is objective from what is subjective. You dismiss everything else outside your belief as wrong or disrespectful. I hate to say this, but please grow up!

its not your problem if i believe in jesus christ. im happy and satified with what i have in my life and i hope you too are with yours. i think mr. cruz needs mental help. i just cant think a mentally stable artist could create a picture of late president cory masturbating because she was already was already widow. dili nalang ko mo comment sa mga ganahan sa iyang art kay basig ma mute na pod ko. basta i dont think a normal person would like his art.

instead, what we get is all this whining and raging and complaining. shut up and stop for a moment. you're not nearly as right as you think you are. you are not as knowledgeable as you think you are and you certainly do NOT know what god wants (and isn't that one of the core beliefs of religion? god is "unknowable"?).
