From U.S, Australia and it's other territories except perhaps for Malaysia and Singapore, yet Latin American countries and the Philippines are now emerging strong from the crisis and are performing better than former British colonies.

I dont think its because of the religion.. lets make japan as an example even though they arent under the british rule. Now, these guys worship nature, even a piece of stone. So why are they so progressive is it because of there religion No, its because of how they work as a community, they work for there country.

well it's up to the people(colony) on how they react when faced with these circumstances. And it is also dependent on the characteristics of the colonizers that came to our country. If they are well educated and seek to improve the lives of their constituents, then progress is easily achieved. But if the colonizers are pirates that come only to take our resources, then the colony would still remain poor and no real progress will ever be attained.
