Who has Dream Satellite? Have questions about their service

Hi, Im just new here in the site. Im here in Manila. I had just purchased a set of dream sat digit-all world package. I just got it for P3,990 & addl of 750 for the first month of service. I am binded to pay for 750 monthly for 12 mos. Anyway about self installing the dish atenna, Yes you can if you know how. I just installed by my self the dish assembly. I just dont wanna pay another P1500 for an installer to put that up.

First, you should have a compass, not the engineering compass but the magnetic compass to show the north. You should set the angle of elevation at 60 degrees, it has marking on the movable bracket assembly at the back of the dish. Then with reference to the north, face the dish 120 degrees clockwise frm the north. Then set the LNB ( looks like a mic) in front of the dish to approx 7 to 8 o' clock. I mean rotate the LNB about 30 - 40 clockwise. Then turn your receiver on, on the set-up, there will be a Receive Level meter for your reference. Find the highest signal by adjusting the angle of elevation and the setting of LNB. It would help, if you will turn the audible meter during fine tuning. A loud alternating tone will be heared if you got the sweet spot. Then scan for the channels & press OK to save the programs...THEN ENJOY WATCHING!!! hope this would help.

its true my dream cable doesn't have discovery. i just visited their website,cause i'm also looking for a good service provider of cable tv.

i heard na ang destiny naa pa cla sa mandaue.i just called this morning to inquire if they were already offering their services here in cebu province..sad to say wala pa daw..sana puwed na cla dri..

Just an update. You can now get the dream sat box and satellite for free if you subscribe 10 months in advance. Dream subscription fees are now different. The 750 peso for example is now 890 pesos BUT you get Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and that Discovery Travel & Living channel (parang lifestyle network).

Is it worth it? For Discovery Channel, yes, I think it's worth it.

Yeah.Â* Destiny Cable (which services Mandaue & Lapu-Lapu) is said to have Discovery Channel even since last year.Â* Unfortunately, I live and work in Cebu City.Â* =(

Though, since we have outlets in Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu, I did consider getting a Destiny Cable subscription and setting up and programming a vcr to record Discovery Channel shows.
