1.For one i dont think im in a level such as Christ that actually can command something, unless you want my picture to symbolize something other than me being "me" to convey your point, i think it would be within you rights. Like if you will use my picture to depict a woman and put a ***** on her mouth to portray prostitution Or put a vagina for a mouth where a hundred babies comeing out to give life to the idea of over population. But then you to ask my permission.

2.the art exhibit portrays the current culture and one of them is religion. There is no depiction of catholicism but there is depiction of religion (lets say catholic religion since its the prevailing religion still in the country). Then its is portrayed vis-a-vis political issues, and also other worldly materials.

3.If I may say its not against catholicism, is against religoius hypocrisy.

4.The use of religion vis-a-vis in politics and in the socio-cultural landscape. So why the phallus symbol then? the phallus have a lot of meaning, the artist said its supposed to portray power.

again, it's not what he did to 'jesus'. why do you say that that image is jesus? because that's what the church told you. tracing back jesus' origin, that's not what he should like. he should look middle-eastern. i'm going to stop right here with this line of argument as it's just quibbling over insignificant details. there is a bigger issue here which you and many others are missing.

the core of these arguments go all the way back to what you've been fed by the church throughout your life. don't you realize that your very reaction has been conditioned in you by what the church has been teaching you?

the very fact of the matter is that your faith is not your own but a product of your education and upbringing. you have not had the chance to "think" about what you believe in. you are just believing it blindly because that is what has been "taught" to you.

you and many other people who are reacting over this issue are not thinking for yourseves.

that's the very core issue of what is happening here. the sooner you break free from your mindless regurgitation of what has been taught to you and start thinking for yourself, the sooner you become a positive contributor to a thinking populace.

well thats what catholics believe if you dont believe in it then fine. just show respect to what others believe specially if they consider it sacred. im a catholic but it doesnt mean im on their side always just like my stand for rh bill and with bishops who are always messing with politics. as long as i dont find anything wrong with what the church say then i got no problem with it. i hear mass regularly not because of the priests but because of the God i believe. i personally dont like to think freely all by myself because it will just complicate my life. i listen to people i trust aside from my own stand. since i went to mass on fridays and sundays i become very blessed. got a stable job with above average pay with almost no pressure at work, respected even by managers and having a lot of fun at the same time. and i also got a very nice and hot fiance (mura kuno kog naka daug sa megalotto matod pa sa akong mga friends) . in sum total, im very satified with my life and couldnt ask for more even if i dont have a "thinking brain" like yours.

First I am a private individual, i could sue you for using my picture without my permission. Especially if you will earn something out of it. Not to mention an intrusion into my privacy, because of publicly posting it. When my existence is not vested with public interest.

Second, who will sue in behalf of the suppose painting of the christ? Christ himself? or maybe Da Vinci? Most depiction of Jesus is base on the shroud of turin, which is infact may not be the real picture of the Lord.

1.2 The idea is how you will react (or the people who cares for you and value you or your image with importance) with the scandalous acts done against you.

2. There is nothing I can do about that. But it still won't hinder us (Catholics) from reacting.
