a carrier is nothing but a floating island steel, its the plane that really can make the kill... but modern ASM can attack target BTH, its the missile that make the kills, the smaller boat are just to deliver...

the CIWS cant stop multiple ASM attack, thats the disadvantage, the CIWS have to engaged the target one at a time even if its radar-guided

ayawg i underestimate ang small-fast boat like MPAC... smaller object cant be detected BTH, it will only show as a blimp in the radar...

about sa IRAN vs US..any missile can inflict damage..but for sure US can handle this kind of situation.they have all the equipments necessary to defeat the enemy and besides a carrier would not be alone in case this things happen...

No one said nga US carrier ra alone. Battle Group gani bro, mao nay tactic sa US sa ilang carrier.

Unlike Russia ilang aircraft carrier was designed without support ships like the US. It has anti-ship missiles & anti air defense system in one package.

Like I said a swarming sea skimming missiles will overwhelm any defense system the USN can offer.
