even two Radeon 1950XTXs will have a hard time beating this monster

tsk tsk too bad
Update #1 : No affect on launch date as yet
Update #2 : NVIDIA will handle the necessary hardware changes (changing of resistors)
Update #3 : Only some 8800GTX cards are affected due to wrong resistor value by a contract manufacturer but to be safe, all the card makers are recalling their cards
hehehe mao ni update sa resistor scandal, so madayon gyud release
Geforce 8800 GTX is faster than Crossfire X1950XTX --> link here http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=35546
I don't think I would love to have this card, two pci-e power connector.... isn't it risky? Is there a problem if they will just put one power connector? Very power hungry card, i don't think I would like this... you better have a very reliable psu on this one. I would rather wait for a better card which i feel better than this one, I believe nvidia has to work on this power problem or just squeeze a little bit to improve their design. Beside this is new, nobody thinks that this is a perfect design. It needs alot of improvements, we better wait till this issues will be resolve.
In fairness this is a monster, great FPS. But of course, as expected.
the chip is close to 1 billion transistors
65nm fabrication is on the horizon... will greatly help reduce consumption
Well even if you count at the number of shaders of 2 Radeons CF, 2 x (48 pixel + 8 vertex) = 112
its still short compared to the 128 unified shaders of the GeForce 8800GTX
