I used Monfort as an example of what can happen if you wait. From a purely scorer Monfort on Team B is now one of the top 5PGs in the UAAP.

I don't know about you but I think Macmac is much more advanced than Monfort as an incoming freshman and would have been in the pipeline much earlier after all he was on team A as an incoming freshman, something i don't think Monfort was. Basin wa kay salig sa skills ni Macmac na maka kuha ug playing time based on ability? There was a proven guy who lead the team to a championship last year ahead of him. Any coach will not give up the reins just like that. Sacrifice team success so that you can showcase one player? At any level that coach will be gone soon enough.

Hoarding? (strangely you seem to have very similar thoughts to that newly registered user who is in the other Tallo thread, barkada nimo?) Again you take it against the team that they want to be strong and prepare. It is called recruiting and a big part of the college game. Maybe you should ask Duke, Kentucky, or UNC in the NCAA to say no to all the good players who want to join their successful programs? I can't help you there though. Wa ko email address or celphone numbers sa ilang mga program. I do have the cellphone no of Jack Huang if the Tallos want to make that "thank you" phone call anytime soon.

Isn't DLSU doing the same thing, getting a good player (Macmac) in preparation for their future? Aren't the other teams in getting Rayray parks, in getting a lot of the players from the youth team (unfortunately not doing so well) doing the same. The difference is the system that Coach Norman uses continues to be successful despite having to change key players (Tiu graduates, Rabeh goes pro, etc). The talent of FEU (esp last year and the year before) is just as good, even better than ADMU 2 years ago. If you came to me at the end of 2010 and had me choose Norbert Torres of DLSU vs GS, it would have been a no brainer. Torres had a better resume and Greg always had his lunch handed to him by the better UAAP centers in the PCCL. 1 year under Coach Norman and GS is a legit MVP candidate while 3 years in DLSU (inc Team B) has had Torres groping around although he did have 2 very good back to back games. It's finding the right players and training them for/ have them buy into the system. The only team with an actual system that is almost as good is Adamson. Why, they have players who patiently wait and play their roles to the hilt.

It would have been nice to have seen MacMac in that type of successful system.

BTW have you had that conversation with the Tallos yet? The CIT tidbit was very enlightening. I'm still bobo2 (according to you). I'm waiting for the knowledge from them that could clears things up for me, otherwise I will have to continue to speculate.

I will ask you directly because I have read your posts and you seem like a nice person....

So with your statement you believe......... as long as one is talented and you show it that gives you a license to be an ingrate or at least not to make pananghid before you go AWOL to your handlers or people who spent for your US training, gave you items, etc?

I sincerely hope your brother does not have any handlers that will leave him in the dust without at least talking to him.
